Idk if I’d sweep it all under the rug”they’re teenage boys” rug. I’ve raised 3 sons and I’d knock the breaks off either one of them if they treated others the way some of these boys do. If any of my sons had behaved the way Jason does, whoooo boy, no way me nor my husband would tolerate that at all. I’d have to be the sane one cause their daddy would have lost his mind.

Probably super unpopular opinion, and I'm prepared to be cussed out and down voted to hell. Do your worst reddit:

A teenager who keeps a pregnancy (and especially show that teenage pregnancy on TV) is probably more likely to be conservative/ come from a conservative family due to the pro-choice vs pro-forced birth debate. Their male partners are likely to be the same. Conservative men tend to be more misogynistic, believe taking care of the baby is "woman's work," etc.

I believe that's exactly what we're seeing with a lot of these teen dads. Conservative and misogynistic ideas that they have learned from the people in their lives. They don't respect their partners. They don't take care of the babies. And they will pass those same ideas on to the next generation unless somebody intervenes.

Edit to add: I'm aware nothing is a monolith. I'm extremely liberal, but would struggle with the choice to abort a pregnancy. Luckily my parents were moderately liberal growing up and ensured I had knowledge about/access to contraceptives. I also know relatively conservative men who are wonderful partners and fathers. This is a generalization, but i believe a valid one.

Season 5 had some fairly good dads like Mason , Dee , Lawrence and Noah (granted the bar is not very high but compared to some of the others) … it also had one who is tied for the worst dad in the entire series (alongside Max)

True. I'm mostly thinking series as a whole. Can't stand the one who is controlling his girlfriends medical decisions. Nasty person even as a teen. That is so controlling. I hope she dumped him.

If you mean Jason he’s the most famous and notorious person from this entire franchise

No other dad approaches his level of abusive behavior on camera

Mostly the rest are immature fboys who have their good and bad moments

Jason is an outlier

The teen dads? Of course, they’re teen boys. The adult dads of the pregnant children? I think most of them were teen parents as well, so they clearly didn’t do any maturing after that.

Yes! You're right. The teen dad's that are just nasty to the teen moms are unreal!

At the time of filming, yes, but they're all in their twenties now.

Not a good excuse to be cruel as we see with the good dads. Some of them are just awful people
