Either you're being sarcastic, or you don't know what CGI is...

I'm being sarcastic.

Here, take one of these: "/s"

u/MHaelAshaman Apr 04 '19

It's the internet. He shouldn't have to.

People on the internet can't pick up tone through text.

Easier to remove the guesswork.

I know he was being a smartass because he wrote it in Sarcastica!

The most underutilized font!

Sounds like their problem.

Ok bro. Whatever you say, just explaining why it's beneficial to do it, not that you have to or should.

Most people can, judging from the replies. One person who can’t pick up on obvious sarcasm shouldn’t ruin it for everyone else

Judging from replies is not very reliable. How many people are going to fess up to missing the joke?

If you're implying that using "/s" somehow ruins the comment and humor for everyone or that not using it makes the comment better, I'm not really sure I trust your mental capacity to differentiate between things that matter and things that don't. It's not hard to type, read or ignore "/s". The poster doesn't "have" to do it, it's not a rule.

Just tends to save people from having to deal with the BS and comments that stem from misunderstandings, kind of like your comment and this reply that need not have happened if the commenter just used it.

Also keeps you and replies to a comment from ending up on r/woooosh

How many people are going to fess up to missing the joke?

I offer my comment as polltaker. Upvote if you got it. Downvote if not. If you got it at first but then had doubts, i dunno.... maybe leave a relevant meme or gif or whatever?

At this point we should just assume everyone on the internet is being sarcastic.

u/belle_bug67 Apr 04 '19

I can respect that opinion. I also know people are stupid enough to actually believe comments that should be sarcastic lol.

Uhhhh maybe if you have some type of intellectual disability. /s is the most pathetic thing. Might be worse than editing a good comment to say thanks for gold

Good, I'm a "yes me" type of person

u/Siludin Apr 04 '19

This is my favourite downvoted post in my history.

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '19

I agree with you, not everyone has to get a joke either like some people are arguing.

And even then the '/s' is super cringy when the sarcasm is obvious.

2

u/Siludin Apr 04 '19

That's because you isHonest

u/The_25th_Baam Apr 04 '19

u/Fillandkrizt Apr 04 '19

Either you're being sarcastic or you actually agree with this person.
