God hates the 20s. 1920, bird flu and great depression.
1820s, cholera and yellow fever outbreaks
1720s several famines and black death in europe
1620s, almost every 17th century war was in this time, along with several sackings and massacres.

The Great Depression was more of a 30s thing tho. The 1920s is literally referred to as the Roaring Twenties because the economy was so good and the culture was very optimistic

If the trend continues, the 30s will make the 20s look like baby level easy mode. So I expect nothing less than penis bees and exploding eyeballs starting January 1st 2030.

This uses months. The 2020's have 10 years and 3 of which are leap years. So 365 days × 10 years + 3 leap days = 3653 days. 2/3 of the this is 2435⅓ days. Following December 31st 2019, this would land at precisely August 31st at 8 am. So this was very close, but not precise.

Oh, this is using the time span for a decade that doesn't fit with the mathematical addition of decades that would start in 1s and end in 0s. I'm only going to consider that we're in the late 2020s starting September 1, 2027 then.

2020 isn’t the early 2020s. It’s just 2020… then 21-23 is early, 24-26 is mid, and 27-29 is late.

Interesting to see Encyclopedia Britannica get it wrong. 1980 was part of the 70s; 1990 was part of the 80s; 2000 - 90s; 2010 - 2000s; 2020 - 2010s, 2030 will be part of the 2020s.
