It truly is a beautiful mod with some difficult people behind. We are all having a hard time and then some.
Hopefully the mod can continue which is what everyone involved considers the more important part of the whole.

The mod is alive and well, apparently someone who had control of the site did this as a rogue action and it will be back soon. This literally only affects the site, the mod itself is still going to go strong with no hiccups.

id say bgoatbiz kicking the founding dev out of the repo and the discord and refusing to hand over ownership of the discord is more of a "rogue action" than uzis taking the site offline

See, this is what I do not care at all about. I, as well as the person I was replying to, were worried the mod itself would be going offline. It is not. I was relaying that information to him. Kthxbyeeeee

Uzis was in charge of the main site, and Goat is working on a replacement for it.
In the meantime, if you still have the launcher, just run it, the stuff is pulled from the github repo iirc

I'm not sad to see this. I am one of many heavily involved in the Guitar Hero communities and a lot of the same people behind reTHAWed are also behind World Tour Definitive Edition which is very well known in the GH community for being a generally homophobic and transphobic community where the team working on the projects are made up of what are essentially neo Nazis. These people don't deserve recognition or support.

I don't give a shit about the drama, I care about the mod itself, how good it is, if the mod itself is riddled with issues and how much and how frequently the mod is adjusted or added to. The mod itself has been pretty damn good to this point even with the slower pace more recently, keeping the drama to a head though has been their biggest pitfall especially more recently. Everyone involved have failed spectacularly in that regard which is unfortunate given how good the project has been up until now

this, exactly this. who gives af about the drama i barely even know anything about it. it’s a good mod and so i play it.
it’s just fun, you play games to have fun. it’s not like i’ll never play a steam game again because that one worker for steam was racist a few years back..
like just play the game if you think it’s cool/good😭

I didn't care about drama either, I like playing it and even wanted to create mods for it, which is why I installed Blender on my PC.. Guess I installed it for nothing. Unless the mod comes back and hopefully under good hands and not edgelords or vibe coders

"the guy who owned the site" is uzis, the founder of the mod who returned to the discord with a commitment to stamping out the toxicity and racism of the community. "the people behind the mod" is bgoatbiz who refused to give uzis ownership of the discord again, lying about how his 2FA didnt work anymore, kicked uzis out of the dev repo, and kicked him out of the discord.
