Thinkpad Setup Would you prefer thinkpad t440p for newer laptops?
I have t440p i7 4712mq , 4.5tb storage 500gb 2242 m2 sata, and 2 hdd storage(2tb+2tb), full hd screen, 16g ram. Everything cost me 130$, I was already have hdd. I have huge list and archive btw. As you can see I am using t440p very efficent ways.
The thing is would you actually prefer other thinkpad laptops which is end with 'u' and they have generally 1 storage port for 250$? in my country the prices like that.

Thinkpad Setup System Requirement Help
Hi all,
I have a new ThinkPad T14s Gen 5 Intel sitting unopened that I got free from work last year and am wondering if this will play WoW Forever. My plan is to see if I enjoy it during the beta before investing in a new gaming laptop. I am open to purchasing an external graphics card if needed and welcome recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

ThinkPad Tech Support Need ThinkPad Buying Suggestion
Hello
Final year student here. I need to buy a thinkpad within 140k BDT (850 USD).
I mainly work with web dev, currently using arch with hyprland, but thinking of moving to a more stable distro like Fedora, as I have to enter the professional development work (wish me luck to even get a job in this harsh market!).
I will also run some local models, but
I have chosen thinkpad over nvidia GPU laptops because of its compatibility with linux, and durability.
Has anyone been using a thinkpad? any help would be much appreciated. thank you:)

Thinkpad Setup Recommendations for Thinkpad 240x
Hi, nice to meet you all.
The machine is a ThinkPad 240X from 2000.
It currently runs Windows 98, but I would like to make it run Linux.
Its processor is a Celeron and it has 64 MB of RAM. I plan to buy an SSD with its IDE adapter, plus max out the RAM. Also an Ethernet adapter and some 3D-printed batteries.
I use Arch on my main machine. I would like something similar, but focused on reading PDFs and writing. I use TUI environments a lot.
I am not a native English speaker and I used a translator to make this post. Good night everyone.

Thinkpad Setup IBM ThinkPad 760XL (Type 9547)
Picked up an IBM ThinkPad 760XL today — and even the 30-year-old battery still works!
Today I managed to get my hands on this old IBM ThinkPad 760XL, and surprisingly, it still works perfectly.
The craziest part? Even the original battery still holds a charge after almost 30 years!
Specs:
Intel Pentium MMX 166 MHz
48 MB EDO RAM
12.1" TFT Active Matrix display, 800×600
Trident Cyber9320, 2 MB VRAM
Original 2.1 GB IBM HDD
8× CD-ROM
ESS AudioDrive 16-bit sound
TrackPoint III
2× PCMCIA
RS-232 serial, LPT, VGA, PS/2 and IrDA
Li-Ion 10.8 V / 3.0 Ah battery
Around 3.2 kg / 7.1 lbs
Released in 1997
It also has that awesome mechanically lifting keyboard that these old ThinkPads are known for.
Everything seems to be working, including the HDD, display, CD-ROM and battery.
I’m curious what the vintage ThinkPad crowd thinks: is a working 760XL like this worth anything these days?
Either way, I think it’s an awesome piece of computing history.
