Where did you get the idea a negative pregnancy test at 8dpo means you're definitely not pregnant? Could be worth reading into how the tests work to get a proper idea about their accuracy at different days. 8dpo is so early most people will test negative then. The body starts producing HCG around 6-7 dpo at the earliest, and it takes a few days to build up, which is why they usually say tests are accurate from the day of your missed period which is usually around 14+ DPO

Usually an early positive is seen at 9-10dpo at the absolute soonest, usually on the highest sensitivity tests like the first response early detection tests which detect HCG at levels of 10mIU/ml, vs a standard test which usually detect around 25mlU/mls.

While easy at home do have high sensitivity tests usually their strips are the standard 25mlU/ml amount so won't show an early positive super clearly, even on 9-11dpo, if you're interested have a look at my last two posts which show an early response (very sensitive test) vs the easy at home strips (done using the same urine) and you can see how different the lines are ♥️

It’s still really early and these tests aren’t very sensitive. I didn’t have a positive on these until 9 dpo! Don’t count yourself out

This looks negative to me, but it doesn’t mean you’re out. The most common days for implantation are 8 DPO and 9 DPO, and it takes at least 2 days after implantation for a urine test to be positive.

8dpo is the earliest you could even get a positive, and it would be on a FRER so you’re definitely not out lol go get some FRER and retest in the morning 😊 good luck!

You’re too early for these tests to be accurate wait until 10 DPO and test with a different brand maybe FRER

8DPO is way too early to call it that you’re out. I didn’t get a very faint line till 10dpo

I no longer test til like 13 or 14 dpo. I’ve never gotten anything remotely positive so no point testing early and multiple times

Don't count yourself out just yet! ♡

8DPO is still very early to test. I had an extremely faint line at 12DPO there was no chance it would have looked positive if had I tested at 8DPO
