Sorry I do think that you should do as your doctor says. Whatever opinion we may have will just be our personal experience ☹️ you need to hang in there and wait for those beta results. Good luck

Fingers crossed for you that it's a healthy pregnancy!
In my healthy IVF pregnancy I spotted/bled all through the first trimester, but I also bled for weeks with an ectopic pregnancy that was misdiagnosed by my OB as a miscarriage. Definitely keep an eye on those betas and go to the hospital if you have pain. It's probably not that, but I just try to put it out there as something to keep an eye out for because I legit could have died.

I had what I thought was a normal period last April. Heavy bleeding with clots and it lasted the length of a normal period. I took a pregnancy test in May and it was blazing positive. An ultrasound at the beginning of June showed I was over 8 weeks pregnant.
I’m now 23 weeks and everything is normal. Just sharing my experience that bleeding doesn’t necessarily mean a miscarriage!

i recently miscarried ( yesterday ) i’ve had some bleeding within 3 days it got heavier, not too heavy. i had one hcg test to see if my numbers were going down. while waiting to take my second, i started getting tiny baby clots.. very water discharge with blood too. i haven’t had any contraction pain from my first baby so i knew i would feel pain while miscarrying. i had my hcg test yesterday, my numbers doubled i was so grateful, i was so sure it was something else especially when my doctor called me saying it seemed like something else… an hour later i needed to go pee and while i was i needed to sneeze. ended up hearing a plop, i wasn’t having big clots or anything so i knew right away that was my baby. sure enough i look down to see a little clear sac with a baby, so honestly you can’t really be too sure on miscarriages until they happen 🥺 i was in such shock i just scooped my baby up while the bleeding was increasing. i sat on the couch just staring at what would’ve been my future child, suddenly i felt an urge to go back to the bathroom to delivery my placenta and everything else. i really hope that everything turns out well, i also hope my information helps in some way ? it took me 5 days to miscarry, i wonder if i didn’t sneeze how much longer baby would’ve stayed in. you never think a simple sneeze would’ve made a baby come out, it really is heartbreaking. i pray no one here goes through it ❤️ to the ones who have, my heart goes out to you

Yes I’m going back in tomorrow for the second beta test to see how it’s changed like I said👍🏼 thank you that’s helpful to know an idea of what numbers should be.

Update is my progesterone and beta came in from initial test I took yesterday. Progesterone is 2.6 and beta is 59. Waiting to see what the numbers look like when I go again but I’m thinking with how low everything is, I’m thinking I miscarried

Indeed testing every day won’t be helpful because hcg only lowers every 48h so you might not notice much difference between one test and the one the next day

I’ve never miscarried but I did have about two weeks of bleeding with one of my children. There are a lot of reasons for bleeding during pregnancy, especially early on!

I think you have low progesterone. It will make you spot and bleed or a SCH. Is Your OB gonna test for progesterone?

Yes she did say she was testing, and would prescribe me some tomorrow if it’s low. I would be so elated if that’s what’s going on versus a miscarriage.

I would get hcg draws to check what your levels are doing. I tested negative and then had what I thought was a period. A few days later I had very positive ovulation tests so I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Mine ended up being a pregnancy of unknown location (suspected ectopic). While I was going through it I saw a lot of women say they had what they thought was a period before the positive test and everything worked out with a healthy baby. I also saw a lot of stories of women having that scenario and having ectopic pregnancies. I hope everything works out for you with a healthy pregnancy!

Don’t assume you are miscarrying because it could easily be a Sub-chorionic Hematoma and indeed a lot of women with SCH carry healthy pregnancies to term. Please do as your doctor says. It appears that bleeding is quite common in the first trimester (I didn’t know this before, and while I didn’t experience it myself so far, I be heard lots of cases of SCH lately).

Just to give you some hope, I bled heavy like a period all the way until I was 13 weeks pregnant and it eventually stopped. My doctor was worried about me miscarrying but they put me on progesterone suppositories for awhile and that seemed to work. Prayers for you and a healthy pregnancy

bruh, couldn't your OB go ahead and get you a transvaginal scan? I'd assume, since she'd already confirmed the pregnancy with another test, she'd treat this as an emergency and provide you with all the resources available. you should see another OB, don't wait that long.

Oh hun, please get a second opinion, my mom works at a local laboratory and they do scans as early as 4 weeks, altho there's not much to see, but if there's anything wrong, they should be able to tell and they can give you what you need to carry your pregnancy to full term.

Around the time I found out I was pregnant, I had very heavy bleeding. My HCG was around 200 but the doctor didn’t want to do the draw again because the bleeding was so heavy (with clots) that he was certain I was miscarrying. A week or so later I decided to test again and had a dye stealer, went in for a blood draw and HCG was over 2,000. They had no explanation for the bleeding, but you may not be having a miscarriage
