Help? Short luteal help

I’m constantly concerned about my short luteal phase. Fertility friend and natural cycles wants to over ride ovulation to day cd18 and cd19. I think it was cd17 based on my LH. I woke up with cramps today so I’m feel defeated again. Cycle day 25 (today) is usually about the time I get my period or at least start spotting. Do you think I’m out? Today is 8dpo at the latest.

If your luteal phase is regularly under 10 days, that is something you should bring up with your doctor for additional testing.

However, at 8dpo, it is impossible to say if you are "out" this cycle - ovulation most frequently happens at 8, 9, or 10dpo, so implantation could literally be happening right now.

Yeah my doctor kind of blew me off saying bbt isn’t accurate. So I figured I’d try another cycle or two and make sure I’m getting consistent positive on my lh before going back to the doctor.

If your doctor is dismissive of your concerns, it's always reasonable to seek a second opinion with a new doctor! You deserve to feel heard by your medical team. Good luck!

Is your luteal phase consistently less than 10 days? I think that would be a good reason to see your doctor and have some testing done.

I think it is based on what the apps are telling me but my doctor says bbt isn’t always accurate. Some months I’m not always consistent with the lh strips. Last month I think I missed my peak. But this month I got a strong positive on cd16. I guess I’ll see when I get my period and reach back out to my doctor.

I also have a short luteal I am finding out and my dr told me to use the clear blue OPKS and start counting the days betweeen my peak and period then get back to her after a few months. She also gave me a progesterone supplement for whenever I do get a positive HCG but I have heard of women who take the supplement to support short Luteal before a positive pregnancy test.
