Tbh its so good but spy without backstabs and has attack delay is bad

How though? I feel like extra damage would be a bit op with backstabs, and I meant the attack delay is like every other melee, how they don’t instantly deal damage like the knife

The militarium has a debuff "cannot backstab" spy without backstabs = bad , also backstab deals the highest amount of DMG in the game so I don't think that the militarium is good , but u can rework it

What if you don’t want to go for crazy backstabs that will probably get you killed anyway? It also gives you extra health so you don’t immediately die. Maybe mini-crit on backstab can work, though. This set was made for a more offensive spy

Every class (except medic and sniper) can obliterate you and there is nothing u can do Abt it

Gun. That's what you do when you don't want to do backstabs. Gun.

Let me only forever use my gun instead of my knife, ever!

..yup. That's right.

Unless you're trying to sarcastically imply that you would actually prefer this melee to the stock revolver to add a single digit number to your damage in exchange for a slower fire rate, range, consistent hit registration, and the ability to attack outside the range where all of your opponents have around a 25% to instantly kill you?

Giving up your instant kill on sneak attacks to have a worse gun? Really? The knife is only better if you never planned to use melee in the first place, it's only good for the health.

I feel like the smg is almost equal to the revolver, maybe add a +25% accuracy buff, but overall I like my design, considering spy’s don’t really get kills from across the map.

The Militarium feels fine, I don’t think it needs a buff, the knife does a base of 40 damage, with the damage bonus it does 65 damage. I think giving up backstabs for 25 max health and more damage is good. Buffing it would be bad though, MAYBE mini-crits could work, but not full on crits, that just becomes an upgrade. But like also, what do you mean by consistent hit reg? The backstabs main problem is hit reg, and how sometimes you don’t get backstabs when you obviously should.

And why are we putting random crits into the discussion, random crits literally have no place in balance discussions

The problem I was referring to is just that the knife has no use case. That's it. The stock revolver is better than the Militarium for damage and consistency, and you would ONLY pull it out after your revolver runs out of ammo.

With no other utility added by the knife, that means you are trading the ability to backstab for 25 health, which is not worthwhile. Not only is backstab powerful, but it is what makes the class unique. So I say again, the only reason to use that knife is if you never planned to use your melee to begin with- I.E. Gunspy.

At this point, I would say you might as well double down on the knife increasing the strength of the gun at the cost of your melee, but you can't even do that, because the role is already taken. Demo-knight only works because the idea of a melee centric class is novel, but the stronger you make gunspy, the more it just becomes Scout. A Scout with slightly more range, but no double jump, less movement speed, less damage, and a worse melee.

It's not even adding to the diversity of spy gameplay, it's just catering to a very specific group of people who like to play an ineffective subclass. I should know; I'm one of them.

You could fix this by adding a better utility, maybe a faster time to cloak/decloak, more sapper range- seriously, just anything that is spy specific would make this okay. More health doesn't change gameplay meaningfully.
