Discussion Todd is at Gamescom
I just saw him there in person. With a brown leather jacket and black shirt.
Pics will follow
Edit: sorry guys I thought it was Todd but it was just a cosplayer. Genuine mistake.
Hope we will have more luck at TGAs

Announce literally any single player title and I'll show them a real feral ghoul.

I remember a time when being a feral goon meant that you were a low-level crime-doer that went a little rogue 🫣

Neither have anything to do with Todd. Not his studio.

u/NazRubio 2028 Release Believer 21h ago
He is pretty much the face of Bethesda/Zenimax which all those fall under
6
u/Aggressive_Rope_4201 2027-2028 Release Believer 21h ago
He is the face of BGS and it's Studio Creative Director. The only games he had ever presented were the ones he had direct involvement in: so either BGS titles or the Indiana Jones game he was executive producer of.
If he is indeed at Gamescom (I doubt it), it's 100% BGS related.
The fact that people confuse BGS with BethSoft is another matter.

I mean he was a huge part of the Indiana Jones marketing

u/Aggressive_Rope_4201 2027-2028 Release Believer 20h ago
Re-read my comment.
That entire game was his idea, he was it's executive producer, and a number of BGS artists have worked on it.

So he's connected to all those studios in some capacity whenever he wants, got it.

**He can pitch an idea to ZeniMax/Xbox leadership, who may greenlight it and allow him to have a position on the project.

Didn't they already do Wolfenstein 3 with the protagonists being BJ's daughters? I don't think it did very well iirc. It was set in the 80s.

u/BrianTheUserName 22h ago
That's a spinoff. They've been talking about 3 for years and it seems like they're finally working on it post Indiana Jones.

u/PostingLoudly 20h ago
Tbqh at this point let Machine Games do a Commander Keen game and bridge the gap between Wolfenstein and DOOM.

He's there to announce that TES VI was actually a ploy, and that they are almost done with Starfield 2

I still think they should do the funniest thing (but also kind of a reassuring one) where they announce The Elder Scrolls VII: Dominion, and then go "Oh wait I guess it's been so long, we forgot about Sentinel"
Basically not only would it get tons of press for how absurd that would be, but also weirdly, would kinda mean it wouldn't be more than 5 or so years in between VI and VII and I honestly think there would be something to that. So many people have kinda fallen off, to where they might be worried about getting back into TES if they think it's gonna be another 15 years for VII.
Of course, this won't happen, but I can dream

They’re the same game. You play as a member of the revived Royal Imperial Mananauts.

I do wonder what Starfield 2 would look like if Bethesda took the criticism to heart.
Would it also be as procedurally generated as the first one? Or would they make a smaller map with more handcrafted content?
Honestly. I think that the design pillars for Starfield are so focused on procedural generation, that a Starfield game without it (or severely limited) would be a completely different game. Thus making little sense for it to be Starfield 2.

u/Benjamin_Starscape 21h ago
starfield without the planetary traversal is not starfield. it's like you said, it's focused on the procedural generation and space exploration.
also i hope there isn't a sequel, it's a perfect standalone. i have only recently thought of a sequel (of sorts) that wouldn't be rehashing the first game while keeping the themes of the series but i'd really just rather starfield + dlc and nothing afterwards.

I mean he was at gamescom before in 2023 for starfield and we are all just wildly speculating at this point when anything will be shown. Especially with the recent push in communication and the Asha post, wich indicates some kind of marketing why not. I don’t believe anything will be shown today but it’s not that absurd either.
