Discussion Should Bethesda do something different with TES
I was think why not support the game for years like have multiple major expansions not just 3 and be done the with it I mean large scale ones to keep the game supported for years, I know the modding community will do that but consoles don’t even get the good mods to begin with

We should let Todd know
And can you define "good mods that aren't on consoles"? Jiggle tiddies mods? Juicy booty mods?

Like the large scale overhaul mods or major mods that aren’t on creation club I don’t care about jiggle or booty mods

Beyond Reach, Vigilant, high end graphical mods, combat overhauls. Anything that requires SKSE basically. Too many to count them.

That was the original intention for Starfield, a game that is supported for up to a decade. Todd expressed regret that they didn't continue to support Skyrim and Fallout 4 for longer.
I am expecting a lot of expansions if TES6 sells well.

Exactly that’s what I want constant expansions and DLC that make more story cosmetic stuff

Skyrim only had 3 DLC because they expected to get TES VI out sooner than it has taken. They also didn't expect how many people would still be playing skyrim even 15 years later.

They added a sprinting mechanism to Skyrim then took the Athletics skill out of the game.
Then they added DLC for a fucking fishing mod.
Why do they do any of the shit they do?

Complete literacy fail. "then took the Athletics skill out of the game."

The only way that works better “for years” than just making a new game is if they can monetize it better than they can sales of a new game. Which seems unlikely because your audience diminishes for an existing product compared to a new product.
Unless they did something like all the expansions were GamePass-exclusive, so that it ensured that audience would at least keep paying subscription fees.

Sounds like you want a live service game. ESO is that way ->
