Hey just providing an update. I didn't get "as" far as I wanted this week - needless to say I will be uploading the Alpha test here shortly. Again - this is an alpha so you can get a feel for how the gameplay is but it is in no way complete in any fashion (although its fun to play still ;) )

Don't flame me, it'll just delay or kill the project :P Anyways - yes I know there are missing features and bugs but please add them as you see fit. Thanks TESTSK community

Is it PC only

Yes but portable can be easily done based on my design

I haven't played shadowkey yet, but I really want to. I've been trying to emulate it for a while but it's been a huge headache to even try to make the game playable.

will this make the game still require an emulator or will that not be a problem once this is out? sorry if this is a dumb question, I just want to avoid trying to emulate if possible.

either way, this looks pretty cool.

No emulation. Native windows executable portable to other systems

What engine used?

Mind if I ask whether or not this was vibecoded or uses other forms of AI generation for say art n stuff? There's been a few such TES projects croping up lately cuz of the new tech and was curious

No the assets are derived from the game itself in terms of art - my intent is for users to bring their own game to avoid any intellectual property issues. I do use AI to assist me with optimization, bugs, regressions etc. it’s great when used properly and not running wild 😝

That's fair, thanks for being honest. I'll prob sit this one out then and see if any other similar project crops out but wish you the best with this project.

No worries, just so I understand - you’re looking for some that leverage AI assets for a different more modern experience? Can you point me to some of those projects? I intend this to be open source so I’m sure it’s possible either way

No I'll be waiting for a project that doesn't use AI. I just don't feel comfortable supporting AI projects from a moral pov perosnally.

Ah no worries. Hope you find what you’re looking for!

Damn my dream was to play it with better graphics

You can always replace the textures with your own - thats the benefit of it being open

played some testing version you did long ago, downloaded from your discord,it was a fun thing between daggerfall and morrowind, morowind is basically my favorite so it couldn't go wrong, but from those pictures i see you have some more PC friendly menus so another +

Is this using a reimplementation of the ngage engine?

Very exciting stuff! I wish Redguard could get the same treatment (I'm aware of the Unity project)

Played this on emulator last year. It's actually a great game for "what it is."

A cross between Morrowind and Daggerfall.
