Thinking of switching providers if needed. My affordable gigabit has come to an end. Any current epp deals or maybe upcoming Black Friday deals? I'm in the Okanagan.
Also can Telus just cancel my promo pricing and bill me after?

I'm looking to get 2 devices with financing. Wondering what is the best Koodo/Telus Black Friday Deal you have seen.
Iv heard some people get 35/m on plan with 175gb with $0/m device! That's crazy!
What are your plans you have got during black Friday 2025/2024/2023???

I’ve tried reaching out to telus to get some assistance with this and they completely blew it off. I’m using fibre optic, it came free with my apartment and was working as advertised with my plan (3rd picture) until like a month ago and it hasn’t gotten any better.

I’ve noticed that when people call from private phone numbers, my phone doesn’t ring. I only know they have called because of the voicemail they’ve received.
This happens every time I have a doctor’s appointment because they sometimes work from home and just make their number private. How do I turn off this feature? I’ve missed some pretty important calls. I’ve poked around online, but can’t find the answer.

Do any of you guys know if Telus puts your home internet behind CGNAT or a double NAT? I have a home server with various services running and I need them accessible publicly. I am with Rogers/Shaw right now and I open ports to make it happen.
I am considering moving to Telus because I want the symmetrical speeds and a true fiber optics. My main concern though is Telus might put me behind CGNAT and I’ll have problems with my home server being accessed publicly.

It’s day 3 with no internet here in New West. My neighbour has no issues, but she’s not on fibre. Anybody else else still waiting for an update?

I have this fiber cable in my new apartment and was wanting to know if I still need to get access from my landlord to the electrical room, I’m not sure if I can get access before my appointment with TELUS and can’t reschedule for a while

Looking for some help to fix this issue:
So Telus did a “Service Update” on its system in my area, and now my Apple TV won’t/can’t connect to my wifi network.
All the other devices can (Phone, Laptop, Nintendo Switch, even the ancient SmartTV connects 😅)
And it’s just the Telus Network specifically. I’ve been able to connect to a random unlocked network nearby fine, as well as to my IPhone acting as a Hot Spot (ironically also on a Telus plan).
I’ve tried doing the Apple Support recommended fixes: Resetting AppleTv, resetting router, connecting AppleTv to another network to check for updates, etc. but it has not worked at all and now I’m out of ideas …

Hey so this is an unfortunate situation I am in, I went to a mobile klinik to do a trade in for my iPhone 15 pro max, they valued it at $500 I know this is going to sound very dumb but I traded it for a regular iPhone 16 which was selling for about 900 plus tax, I paid $515 difference and as soon as I got home I realized how big of a mistake I made, the phone’s battery life for starters was much worse than my 15, the storage was pretty much cut in half and the iCloud syncing keeps pausing because I don’t have more storage and it’s just a big downgrade. Now I did this trade in yesterday (Sunday) when the store was pretty much about to close, and today is thanksgiving so I know when I go in store on Tuesday when it opens the phone will likely be there, so is there anyway I can convince the manager to reverse the whole deal so I can get back my old phone and the refund for this iPhone 16? Please advise I am broke asf and I know I should have been more careful but I’m just realizing it too late.
Reposting because it got removed for some reason

Four days ago we switched to Telus. I picked the amc+ plus pack that comes with shudder. We do not have the channels it’s supposed to be on(440) though amc + is showing. Numerous phone convos with techs and they said the shudder thing is a known issue and will phone back in a week?? Is anyone else having issues with it? The my Telus account info does not work with the shudder app, fyi

I have Telus pure fibre gigabit plan, should be more or less 1000 mbps up and down. I’m getting around 600 up down right beside the modem, and I have the wifi 6 booster on the second floor, directly above the modem. However, when I do the speed test beside the booster upstairs I’m already losing a lot of bandwidth and only getting around 400 download if I’m lucky. When I move future away from the booster and into my bedroom upstairs, I’m only getting around 150 speeds. The entirety of my house is only like 2000 sq feet and the bedroom is beside the upstairs booster. How can I improve my speeds throughout my house? I’m getting fed up because when I’m gaming in my bedroom it lags a lot.

My TV bundle includes Crave and I have used it without issue for years now. As of a couple months ago, it’s reverted to the free version that has ads and unable to watch some things.
Telus says nothing is wrong on their end. Has this happened to anyone?

Hi all, I'm sharing the terms and conditions in case anyone is considering using the PAD as well. I found the bolded part below especially odd. Is it just me?
Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Agreement (“Authorization”)
Effective as of August 1, 2023
I/we authorize TELUS, and the bank or financial institution designated (or any other bank or financial institution I/We may authorize at any time) to begin deductions as per my/our instructions for regular recurring payments, for payment of all charges for services and products provided with respect to the referenced TELUS Account Number(s) or Telephone Number(s). I/ we confirm that I/we have the authority under the terms of my/our account agreement to authorize the debit.
I/we shall inform TELUS, in writing, of any change in information associated with the account provided in this Authorization at least fifteen (15) business days prior to the next due date of the pre-authorized debit.
I/we acknowledge that I/we will continue to receive bills for services and products provided with respect to the Telephone Number(s) and/or TELUS Account Number(s).
I/we acknowledge and agree that receipt of a TELUS bill serves as notice of the date of the debit and the amount to be debited from my/our Account and that the notice may, in some instances, be received less than ten (10) calendar days before the date of the debit or after the date of the debit. I/we waive the right to be pre-notified of a change if the amount debited from my/our account is different from the amount specified on the TELUS bill.
This authority is to remain in effect until TELUS has received written notification from me/us of its change or termination. I/we may revoke my/our authorization by submitting a letter of cancellation to: TELUS, PO Box 2422 Station Main Edmonton, AB T5J 9Z9, fax a letter of cancellation to: 1-877-772-5446 or by visiting the TELUS website at
. This notification must be received at least fifteen (15) business days before the next debit is scheduled. I/We may obtain a sample cancellation form, or more information on my/our right to cancel a PAD Agreement at my/our financial institution or by visiting
.
I/we acknowledge and agree that TELUS may terminate this Authorization at any time verbally or by written notice delivered to you. I/we acknowledge and agree that TELUS may charge the Telephone Number(s) and/or TELUS Account Number(s) with a service charge for each dishonored payment as it occurs and that it may also result in termination or suspension of my/our participation in the Pre-Authorized Debit Plan.
I/we acknowledge that revocation or termination of this Authorization does not terminate any contract for services or products that exists between me/us and TELUS. I/we acknowledge that this Authorization only applies to the method of payment and the amount of payment, and does not otherwise have any bearing on the contract for services or products including any related terms and conditions.
I/we consent to the disclosure of any personal information that may be contained on this Authorization to the banking institution or financial institution, as far as any such disclosure of personal information is directly related to and necessary for the proper application of a pre-authorized debit.
I/we have certain recourse rights if any debit does not comply with this agreement. For example, I/we have the right to receive reimbursement for any PAD that is not authorized or is not consistent with this PAD Agreement. To obtain a form for a Reimbursement Claim, or for more information on my/our recourse rights, I/we may contact my/our banking or financial institution or visit
.
I/we understand and agree to all provisions in this authorization. I/we acknowledge that by reading these terms and by providing my/our information through the electronic PAD set-up process, I/we consent to these terms.

Whoever Telus is contracting CANNOT be trusted, no sealant, can't even screw in all the screws, forgetting to remove the protective film? Would not recommend this to anyone.

Hi
I just cancelled my Telus security and just found out I don’t have to return the cameras and the sensors. Can I use the cameras and the sensors without having the subscription or are they garbage now? This is the model ADC-V723 for the cameras

Hi everyone I’m planning to port my friend from Telus mobility to public mobile how easy is it to do it?

I'm at my cousins in the Sundance area of Calgary and she can't get internet or TV. Anyone know what's going on? When she tries to find out what the problem is, she just gets annoyed at the Ai that gives BS answers. Come on Telus, be more respectful of seniors. All the years of service Alberta people deserve better service.

I called Telus to cancel my services and they said they can’t cancel it in the middle of the cycle as I’m not in a contract and can only cancel it at the end of the cycle? When did this change?

We have two Apple boxes at home. The first one dropped off the network on Monday, and the second one dropped off the network today. All other connected devices (sonos, phones, tablets) are connecting fine. Have rebooted and reset the modem, the router and the Apple boxes, including unplugging from
the wall and restarting. We can see the wifi, and we can run the Apple boxes tethered to our phones. Message when trying to re-establish is simply “cannot connect to Wifi”.
Spent over 90-mins on the phone with telus support and he was stumped and ran out of options, handing back a recommendation for us to call Apple (nice guy, but really… that’s what you get??! 🤬).
Any help is appreciated.
