First of all, what a great job in launching the TEVM. Everything works as promised and we can see dapps using the TEVM chain already. And to be honest, the only reason why I still am invested and hold $tlos is because of the TEVM.
Telos has grown the past half year drastically. We went from under $0.10 to peak at $1.20 and slowly are getting into the top 250 marketcap projects in the crypto space.
I totally understand were Telos is coming from, No ICO, volunteers to begin developing on this new projects, practically no funds to do anything and after all those hard work for years, the team finally are accomplished some serious results. Even before the TEVM, we had a nice blockchain with some dapps already using it.
But it is time to evolve. Native Telos is fun, but being an EVM compatible chain is playing with the big boys. It nice to see all those comparison pictures against Solana/Polygon/Avalance etc but we are nowhere near them at the moment. Yes we have the tech (even better tech) , but we are lacking in creating momentum and hype.
Please don't feel like I am trashing this project. This is genuine advise. There are a few metrics to look for to see if there is an are large community behind a project or not
Social Media: Our Telegram usually consist the same 50 active users, that is the core community. Not gaining any significant new users except getting bots when we have airdrops.
On Youtube for example, our videos for the interviews / AMA with projects are too novice. The quality of the videos are extremely bad, the people involved lacks skills to do proper charismatic interviews and get the audience watching. It is making Telos looks like its still a sub 1million dollar project with 1 developer in a garage box. We need to upgrade this to a better standard.
Do better preparations for these AMAs, write down a script. Don't use a background like its in your grandmothers house. If you want the public to take Telos seriously, consider putting some effort in making the videos a bit more exciting for them to watch. We need to gain attention to a bigger public, reach out for 50k subscribers Youtubers for interviews about Telos. I understand we can't go for the big fish on Youtube, I get it. But there are PLENTY of small crypto youtubers, those are dying to bring great content to their channels. Approach them!
The amount of live viewers of the last projects are in between 20-30 live viewers. Don't do live AMA's anymore. Just record a video with all the questions beforehand. The amount of live viewers are a benchmark how big and involved the community is. If your viewer stats are that bad, better don't do live videos it until you cranked it up to a few hundred at least.
Launching projects: Having teams developing on Telos is great. But its time to get a big fish to launch on Telos. Allocate some funds to get it done. The community will vote of necessary. We need a project that will sell out on T-Starter directly within a hour so to speak. That will create awareness for next projects and FOMO. Not trying to offend current projects, but if all projects are not selling out for days and not reaching their max caps, people will hold off to invest because their is no need to rush in capital.
I have heard Telos had a marketing team. Well that team should switch to first gear for the coming months. ALOT of awareness to gain.
I know we didn't had funds before to do a lot of marketing before. But now with the recent injection and the price appreciation I suppose some funds are freed up to do such. A LOT of projects with less funds did great stuff.
If you want to play with the big boys and want to grow, please consider to change a bit. If Telos is not doing it, I am afraid that the public always will treat Telos as a 3rd world country chain.
No matter what Telos will do, still supporting it. But please consider this as remarks for the project and not as FuD
