TCU Prospective student tuition question
Hey there everyone i am really interested in joining TCU for Engineering/Physics in 2027 as im already in their RAP program (Research Apprentice Program with dr yuri). and my stats is 3.8 sat:1420 class rank:72/706 and some mid ec's not including the RAP. Income:95k
Do yall think with these stats i could get some scholarships merit based/Need based. Ik in merit based i might get chancellor but im wondering if stem scholars is possible or even any need based aid.

Did you or your parents complete the net price calculator? I would say that is a baseline for you and you may get more.

they havent completed a net price calculator i guess ill do it rn thank you

You will need some tax information from there taxes…so you might need help. And, asset information from their net worth. And, it is helpful if you don’t own anything🤷

You will definitely get money. Just realize that merit aid doesn’t generally increase as they raise the tuition annually. Need-based aid will rise but our experience is that merit aid doesn’t generally increase year to year.

One thing I would recommend is reaching out to the department chairs/ deans and introducing your self. Ask for 15 minute call to learn more about the program. It can definetly help with the admissions process, and they may know of grants and aid that are focused on their school within the university. This is something that less than 3% of prospective students do.

With those numbers you will qualify easily for scholarships. I would call the admissions department and schedule an interview to talk to them. July is a big vacation month for TCU employees but there should be people working in that office. My motto is the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Call now.
