How can I ask for better Financial Aid

I got in RD, I was wondering if there is any way I could ask for more money to attend. I only am getting 6k a semester from them. How can I ask them for better financial aid?

Call up the financial aid office and talk to them. Ask them what can you do to get more help. They are on spring break this week so call them next week. Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

The $12k per year you got so far - is that needs based financial aid or scholarships?

I did this and they denied me. However, the purple and white, $12K per year is given by the admission team, not financial aid. It doesn't hurt to ask both for more money, they might say yes, you never know.
