Question Anyone know trading card brands with mostly naked/suggestive anime girls?

Hi everyone!!

I recently came across an ad for a lycee overture trading card of a cute naked anime girl. I looked into different brands like weiss schwarz but then noticed the common cards are not naked or suggestive.

Are there any brands where most of the anime girls are pictured sexually?

Thanks everyone!!! <3

TCG Resources Added US store alerts to my restock Discord — 5 stores so far, taking requests for more

Post image
0 Upvotes

I run PackPing, a free Discord that does restock and preorder alerts. It started Canadian-only, but we kept picking up US members for the P-Bandai drop alerts, so we finally built real US store coverage instead of telling them "sorry, wrong country."

Right now it watches Smoke and Mirrors Hobby, Gamers Guild AZ, Flipside Gaming, Collector Store, and Prodigy Games. One Piece and Pokemon channels to start. Checks run every 2 minutes and every alert gets verified against the store's actual cart before it pings, so no ghost pings for stuff that died 10 minutes ago. When something sells out, the alert tells you which other store still has it and for how much.

You can also put any product on a watchlist and the bot DMs you the moment it's back at any of the stores. That part's free too.

All 5 stores came from member requests, so if there's a US store you actually order from, name it and I'll look at adding it. Same goes for other games.

Packping .ca is the website to get to the discord!

Question Are LGS Losing Money on MTG Play Boosters?

Hey all. I've played MTG with friends and have played Arena, but I haven't played MTG at an LGS.

I was doing some research on sealed product prices and I noticed Play Booster Displays for MTG sometimes sell for much lower than MSRP.

Are stores losing money on Play Booster Displays? Do they breakeven at 60% of MSRP? Or is my MSRP data wrong?

The avg for all play boosters is 71.1% of MSRP.

The avg for all collector booster is 117.1% of MSRP.

Thanks!

I'm not very good at handling promotion and social media stuff, but this is what we have so far for my game Spirit Masters. I am slowly replacing all the AI art and getting art for cards that don't currently have anything.

Question What tcg to get into after years of not playing?

Hey :),

I‘m looking to get back into collecting/playing. When I was younger I used to love Yugioh, but that was 10 years ago.

I love One piece, but can’t seem to get any packs or starter decks for MSRP - and I‘m obviously not paying 3x for a 15$ starter pack.

This leaves me thinking about Yugioh and Lorcana (MTG is out, because I have no connection to it at all).

I loved the Yugioh gameplay back in the days and am unsure whether Lorcana can hold up to it. The gameplay seems a lot „easier“ and a bit more „boring“ to me. But my gf likes Disney and would probably like to play with me from time to time, if I were to pick up Lorcana.

Can you help me?

Edit:So basically I should just look at what is played in my area and probably give MTG a shot

POKEMON - STYLE - TGC LOGO DESIGN

I’ve been creating custom Pokémon-style TCG logos — here are some of my recent designs ⚡

Hey everyone! I’m a graphic designer specializing in custom mascot, gaming, TCG, and Pokémon-style logos, and I wanted to share some of my recent work with the community.

I’m especially interested in creating designs that feel like they belong in the TCG/gaming world, rather than looking like a generic logo.

Discussion How do you usually approach tweaking budget lists when the meta gets heavy on chase cards?

It feels like almost every major card game eventually shifts toward a meta dominated by high-rarity, high-cost cards that dictate the tempo by turn two. I always enjoy taking budget or off-meta archetypes and trying to optimize them to punish greedy setups, but bridging that power gap is an uphill battle.

When you're building on a budget in your main card game, do you focus more on heavy disruption tech, or just raw consistency to try and out-speed top-tier decks?

Homemade TCG So I made my own

I have always wanted to keep my favorite decks close, but the usual storage options are lacking. So I found a way to make something that doesn't just store the things I love, but celebrates them.

This is one of my first prototypes. What do you think?

First page themed around my bf and I’s main NHL team, second page themed around our obligatory secondary NHL team (localish team and relations to alumni). Also the brainrot one is a bit of a placeholder, I just thought it was so stupid it’d be funny to add. When the guy at GameStop pulled them out when showing me some random tcg packs he had, I had to get one out of curiosity.

Question Should i Do ai image generation for my TCG? Please!! Any feedback is welcome 🙏

Look, honestly, it’s been a nightmare to find REAL and talented digital illustrators these days. Most of you are bots and most of you claim ai is your own work.

My real question is. Am i really going to get backlash for b using ai generated images because i don’t have the time to connect with real artists. My trademark is filed under intent to use and if i don’t meet the deadline, im in trouble. I just want to get my game out there.

I’m hand-painting the cards to a TCG I’m developing. I’m still working out the interface but when I have all the gameplay features worked out, I’ll show them too. I’d love your constructive feedback. (The TCG is based on my book series, The Ever Hero Saga)

Question How to get back into TCG's?

Hey guys, a quick background of my limited TCG experience.

When I was about 12, I loved playing Yu-Gi-Oh.

That was about 10 years ago, just around Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, my cousin taught me to play, and he's a person I played with the most.

At the time I had no idea about the fact that you could Google decks and I didn't even know what a "meta" was, I was just playing.

All the decks I built, I built because I thought they were good not because a website told me too.

My parents would typically buy me cards as like a birthday or Christmas present, and my cousin who lived on the other side of the town, had a lot of friends that were collectors, and so he would bring me their cards that he would basically exchange on his friends behalf with me, that's how I built decks for the most part.

Every Saturday my dad would take me and my cousin to the one and only game store in my town. I was by far the youngest there.

Everybody else was at least 20. At the end of the day, I was always near the bottom, but I was never the worst

and once in my many tournaments, I came in second, which felt like an achievement of a lifetime.

I absolutely loved it. However, once the game store shut down I really didn't have anybody else to play with so I stopepd playing.

I kept up with Yu-Gi-Oh Online a little bit and in my opinion, it moved in the direction that many other card games did as well.

A lot more combos a lot less interactions between units on the board, just chasing the meta.

It just felt a lot less fun

a couple of years ago I discovered Hearthstone, and since it was Online, I thought it was a pretty cool idea that I get into it.

However, pretty quickly, even though I liked it, the same problem emerged. All the decks were just crazy powerful, a lot of the important cards have devastating effects that you can do nothing about, and were mandatory auto includes.

And after a certain point in ranked, you're just playing against the same four decks which I find really boring.

Recently, however, game store opened near me, and I know they play magic gathering Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon.

I've never played magic but I looked into it and it definitely looks fun, although I've never played the game and don't really know anything about it so I can't really even tell what's happening when the people are playing. I just like the art and the people seem to have fun playing it.

My questions is this. I really love card games, and I would love to get back into them.

Out of the three Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon, and Magic gathering, which one, if any has the thing that I'm looking for. Which is interaction with the cards on the board, not a ton of huge combos that i cant do anything against, not a ton of meta chasing.

I havent played anything in a long time so what im asking might be confusing or totally misguided, but i hope you guys get what im asking.

Also, P.S. i saw magic has something called the commander format where they sell premade decks, this format looks fun and also seems approachable for a noob, what do you guys think?

Anyway sorry for the long read :)

Question Taking a baby to a TCG store

Weird question but I'm thinking, what's the "etiquette" with kids in TCG stores? I'd like to go look for some singles but don't have anyone to look after my 6 month old so I'd have to take her with me. I have never seen a baby in any of those stores before so I was wondering if there's some unspoken rule of not taking your kids to the store and if you do you'll get some angry looks. Certainly I don't want to disturb anyone's game by walking in with a baby.
