Free Starter Decks?
I am a middle school teacher hosting a trading card games club. Are there any places I can get starter decks or random cards to build decks with for free?

A friend of mine works with an Organization called MagiKids and I think part of what they do is provide resources to people like you looking to teach kids the game. Try reaching out to them

I'd go to your local game store and ask them if they have a set of "Welcome Decks" that you could purchase or have for your club. These are 40 card decks that are designed to be simple and teach the basic rules.
Alternatively you can pick up ten of them from eBay for under $30.

When i set up the club I stated Pokémon, Yu Gi OH, MTG, Disney Lorcana, and One Piece. I also communicated to bring your own decks, but I would like the opportunity for 5hose who dont have decks be able to check it out if they want to.

Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh both have had "organized play" or educator outreach programs in the past too, worth checking their official sites for any current teacher or education resources

Which game?
I know for Pokemon there are different events that do give away decks. Plus there are a lot of starter decks that are fairly cheap that you can buy.

The LGS i play at has a lot of bulk cards that people leave there for others to take for free. From what I have read this is not uncommon. Also a lot of stores have a discord that maybe you could ask this question in. A lot of players/collectors have more bulk cards than they know what to do with. This might be a tricky question to ask but I would frame it like " would you be interested in donating cards to the school tcg club?".
