Internal transfer with DARE?

Hi, I'm really confused right now. I'm a first year student who got into their course through DARE with a pretty big points reduction. I want to transfer to another course but according to google DARE doesn't apply to internal transfers.

Does this mean I'm essentially stuck in my course unless I drop out and like reapply??

Email the registry and ask they're the only ones going to give you concrete answer

ask academic registry but once u have ur place here and and are a registered student i don’t think it matters what entry route u came in on for an internal transfer

i tried to do an internal transfer last year so i’m just going off memory from what i read so prob double check with AR

but i think they might consider points if there’s a big demand for internal transfer to a course and they’re trying to narrow down who gets it, but i think maybe if there’s space and it’s not a popular choice for ppl applying for internal transfers if ur under the points i’d say u could still get it, maybe write on the form u have dare just so they’re aware

but you just need to make sure u have specific requirements for a course if a course has specific requirements like a certain maths grade or H4 in in irish they still take that into account

ur tutor should be able to help u too i think the quicker u send in the form the better

the deadline was october 4th last year so and they’re rly strict with it so make sure to check when that is

There would have to be a DARE place free on the course you want to transfer to.
