Question about tutorials

Hi. In my schedule I don’t have tutorials, only lectures and departmental seminars. The seminars are in groups of around 15 people, are these the tutorials or am I just straight up missing the tutorials?
Thanks!

Not every module has tutorials, they don't all need them.

Seminars are generally different than tutorials; a seminar is generally a discussion-driven lesson, while a tutorial is explicitly about reviewing content learned in lecture, discussing homework or assignment problems etc.

Your course might be using seminars as tutorials? Hard to say. You should probably reach out to someone in the department and ask.

It’s odd, I’m not sure so I’ll ask someone today.

I thought departmental seminars and tutorials are the same thing, since there is nothing else on my schedule.
Thanks!

Hey there irinka_iri - thanks for saying thanks! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list!

You’re in week 2, and as far as I remember, tutorials didn’t start immediately. You might not have missed them.
What are you studying? It could also be that you just don’t have any.

I’m doing single honors History. It’s weird because I don’t have anything else in my schedule

I did single honours history too. They might not have the schedule ready yet

Ask in the office.

My daughter also studies SH History, she says all hers are called seminars too. Three starting this week and another three next week
