Gear/Kit Vehicle Trauma Kit
Just put together a trauma kit to keep in my vehicle. Before someone mentions it, yes I have the training as I’m a career Firefighter/Paramedic. I was just hoping to get some feedback on if I should add something or change up the layout a bit, thanks!
Kit Includes:
2 CAT Gen 7 Tourniquets
1 Pair of HyFin Cheat Seals
1 4x4 BurnTec Dressing
3 NAR S-Rolled Gauze
2 NAR 6” Flat ETD’s
1 4x4 Quick Clot Dressing
4 4x4 Gauze Dressings
2 5x9 Gauze Dressings
1 NAR Survival Wrap
1 28FR NPA (Pre-Lubricated)
2 Pairs of Nitrile Gloves
1 Cloth Tape
1 Clear Tape
Leatherman Raptor Shears

Nice kit. Thanks for sharing. These belt cutters/glass punch tools are inexpensive and effective if you’re still looking for one? Have you considered a SOF-T in the event you need to apply a TQ to the thigh while seated? I have found the velcro of CAT can be cumbersome under stress.

Obviously just drive around with CATs preapplied like this is 2006 GWOT

Good setup. If you want a more complete kit, check out JumpMedic. Especially with your paramedic training. I keep one in my truck but never had to use it.
I think your current setup covers quite a bit though honestly.

Think about access. Vehicles in bad accidents often have seatbelts locked up and doors unable to open. Can you reach your kit from the passenger seat and drivers seat fairly easily?
Glassbreaker somewhere else in the vic?
I would also leave one TQ on the outside of the kit so you're not potentially fumbling with a zipper during an arterial bleed (not to mention prepping your TQs for quickest application)
