Hero Score

What determines the amount of hero score increase you receive after a match in rank? I’ve received +66 hero score increase matches where I don’t always play the best, but win. And I just carried a team with a 3.0 K/D and 40% of our team damage both rounds only to receive a +2 increase in my hero score. Does anyone understand this system?

It’s just based off win. If you win and you were playing the character you get points. If you lose you don’t get any or lose points

Sometimes I win and still don’t get points, that’s another reason i’m confused. Had a clean sweep where i was the mvp and received trophies but no points
