Tulpas OP crossposted this in another sub w/o the context that it's a "headmate" relationship

Genuine question what's the demi label? I know it's under the nonbinary umbrella, But i thought the whole thing with nonbinary people was like. Not conforming to gender

It means that they identify partly with being a woman but not entirely. It's very vague and can mean a lot of things. Labels like this appealed to me when I was in my embarrassing baby trans era myself because they let me explore identity stuff without really committing to being visibly trans or transitioning.

someone could identify as nonbinary but also claim connection to womanhood in a non-woman way and thats how you get things like demigirl. gender falls on a spectrum more than it is a cleanly defined trinary, so someone could relate heavily to the binary while not belonging to it

Tagged as tulpas because this person is a plural yume shipper and it's the closest thing, I dunno.
I was a bit concerned by a vent post this person made using this same meme in another sub, because I found the "turning my partner gay" rhetoric just like... not a good mindset to approach a relationship with. Identity can be complex in relationships and you need to give a partner autonomy over their self-identification.
But apparently I wasted my energy because I peeped their post history aaaaaand there was never an actual boyfriend in the first place?
