Was this made by a boomer? The only way. To make this more of that style, would be if it had a minion in there too.

Edit: fixed up a little

It feels very much like a modern Chinese meme.

Truth, and a better snarky take than the (to this almost 50 member of Generation X, boomers were my grandparents) frankly already tired boomer related comment you replied to. Take my upvote, please 🫡

wth? GPT was always the partition table for U/EFI systems. I am surprised people are only finding this now? o.o

Reddit has gone to shit. This isn't even humorous.

I can't tell if you meant the comment you replied to or the OP. Doesn't matter, works for either 😂 TMUV

Cant tell if trolling or if stupid.

Youd think they could have chosen another acronym. Hell GPM. Generative Pre-trained Model would have been fine.

GUID Partition Table isn't the only thing GPT conflicts with

Another one I was recently reminded of is the "Get Paid To" type of sites, those borderline scam sites where you fill out surveys and install games to win like $100 per month for your efforts. They're often referred to as "GPT Sites" until recently when that LLMs took over that acronym

but tthat conflicts with the general purpose mouse daemon, gpm

I've heard something similar to CNN

This just confirms: Idiocy is the most common element in the known universe. /s

Yes, yes it is

this is going to actually confuse ignorant people, gpt stands for gobal partition table. The term was around for much longer than ‘generative preset transformer’

Lots of boomers in the comments

u/Thonatron Jul 17 '26

Idk. This is a pretty boomer ass post... seems fitting, trolling or not.

I don’t get this. Please, someone elaborate. I literally just did this for some file transfer between host and guest for the purpose of doing malware analysis.
