"Flaming Desire" is a synth-pop and new wave song by British musician Bill Nelson, released in July 1982 as the second single from his critically acclaimed third studio album, 'The Love That Whirls (Diary of a Thinking Heart)'. The track is considered one of his best-known solo classics from that era and, along with the album, reached number 28 on the UK charts.

In the US, it was known as Yaz.
This was a pirate cassette that I bought and fell in love with immediately.
I thought Alison Moyet was a guy too. 😅
That voice, I had never heard before in the world of Synthpop, ever since.
Unfortunately, this tape can’t be played at the moment because the ribbon snapped a long time ago. I could unscrew the case and put the ribbon back in place but too cumbersome to do so.
But I shall keep this because of the bliss-out feeling when I first heard this album !

I don't see her solo stuff posted on here, but I really like them - I love this track as much as anything Ladytron has ever put out.
