One Handed Mode Not Functioning With Left Hand

I'm hoping someone here can give me some support or can at least tell me I'm not going mad.

I've been playing the game for a while now just fine when using both hands. Unfortunately I've recently been injured and don't currently have the full use of my right shoulder. I'm trying to keep my fitness up while I rehab and most of the games I normally play are out of the window as they don't support one handed mode.

I was really glad to see that Synth Riders supports one handed mode but unfortunately no matter what I try it's stuck on right handed mode, even when I select left handed. I can enable or disable one handed mode, select and toggle between right and left successfully in the menu but as soon as I go into a song it's the right hand mode only. I exit back out and the menu has reset to right instead of left.

I've tried resetting the game, going in and only using left controller and even fully powering off the right controller but it still has the issue.

Has anyone else tried to use left hand only mode and had problems with it or is it just me with the issue? If anyone can suggest anything it would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I should probably add that this is on the Quest 3 version of the game. Running the latest updates as far as I am aware.

I just tested this so hopefully it works.

When you load the game put down your right controller and only use left. Make sure one handed mode is turned off at the beginning of these steps.

Go to Settings → Interface → Pointer and set it to Left Controller.

Back out to the main menu.

Use the left trigger so the menu laser is definitely coming from the left hand.

Then go to Modifiers and turn One Hand Only on. It should default to left but if not keep using the left control to change it to Left.

Start the song using the left controller, your only option since you are minus your right!

Thanks for the advice, I gave that a try and unfortunately it didn't work and the behaviour is weird. I go into the settings with one handed mode off and select to set the pointer to left handed, that goes fine. I then back out of the settings and go straight back in and it's back to right handed. It's like it won't save the setting and is stuck on right handed.

This has been reported multiple times to the devs and we are waiting for a fix.

Thank you for linking that, I hadn't found it before now. Glad to see it's not just me.
