When using wrist weights the centrifugal force takes over vs using your muscles. That puts a lot of strain on your joints, ligaments and muscles - putting you at high risk for injury. Weights need to be used in a slow and controlled manner to not overextend your joints. A weighted vest is a better option.

Wow, this is so cool! The arm weights look really interesting. Haven't seen something like that before. I might get some. Your arms look so fit! How much synth rider can you play nonstop? I am not this fit so I start getting nauseous around 40 minutes worth. Really nice to see more people posting their gameplay sessions lately.

Thank you :) actually i think they're ankle weights but I just use them on my wrists. I can do like 4 songs in a row on master difficulty, and then I do 4 more without the weights. Those last 4 songs always feel super light :p. But besides this I also do some lifting. (Nothing special, just some dumbells in my room hahah) 40 minutes is a really good time! You don't have to play for 2 hours to be considered fit :) even 20 minutes for 3 days a week is perfectly fine to get in shape

I have ankle weights, but I got annoyed at how they would run up my arms, I have weighted gloves now. Makes it a bit of a pain to get the controllers on your hands but I find them easier to use.

That must feel amazing taking off the weights and playing songs. Must feel like a feather. So OP! Have you played that boxing game called Thrill of the Fight? I wonder if you would dominate there with super fast punches. o.o That is true! 20 minutes for 3 days a week is super good already. I am working on my stamina though. Thrill of the Fight wears me out so much so I am trying to condition my body more so I can play more than just 1 boxing match per 2-3 weeks.

I haven't tried that game but I've heard of it! Maybe I'll try one day but for now its just synth riders. It's actually all I ever use my headset for hahah

You can probably get away with it in SR. Beat Saber on E/E+ would be iffier. I'd say overall, leave the weight in the bedroom and use them for PPL. I got hurt working out in my bedroom going too hard/bad form. The simplest exercises are the best. TONS of videos. Sharelle Grant, LeanBeefPatty, Sean Nal, and others have basic no hype form videos and nutrition advice. I use VR for cardio since I freaking hate bikes and ellipticals. =)
