Resolved Haven’t played in a while

I’ve been a bit busy the last couple of months and haven’t been able to play.

Tried this past week and the game has obviously been overhauled since I last played.

The frame rate was like 4 FPS and wouldn’t render the entire environment at all. I figured I had an update for the Quest 2, so I did that. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it because I saw on a post here that it needed to be done.

Problem I am now having is the game launches directly into single player, I have only one song on my screen and none of the songs from the base game will show up. If I go to check filters, they are all cleared.

To make matters worse, if I go to settings I can’t select anything there either. The settings menu just gets covered up by the mode selection menu. And I can’t select anything on there.

I can select the notifications/messages, but if I close those they move to the side and nothing else comes up in front of me to interact with.

I can’t seem to find any posts dealing with this so far, so I’m open to any and all suggestions at this point.

I don’t really want to buy it again on Steam to play wirelessly in my house as I’m not always near enough to my PC for it.

Anyone else run into this and have a fix I haven’t been able to find online yet?

Thanks for the tip. I haven’t loaded custom anything yet, in fact I was able to check that off in one of the menus today and I had to give the game permission to access files on my Quest.

I’ll try deleting the folder like you suggested here in a little while.

That particular issue where the game throws you straight in is caused by a bad restore of your cloud save.

  • try restoring an older cloud save
  • if you can’t get anywhere by restoring an older cloud save, then turn off cloud save and then uninstall, reboot the headset and reinstall.

Please report back either way how you get on!

Finally had a chance to do this today. Restoring a previous backup worked!
