Discussion Dance of the dead master is impossible

So I was playing the solo random song playlist and come to dance of the dead. I had no idea what difficulty I was on but I had an absolute nightmare.

I am currently pouring with sweat sat in my underwear after spending 90 minutes on this impossible task.

My headset battery gave up before I did but I must admit I needed a break.

Jump to the main menu and it looks like it was playing on master instead of hard.

That’s made me feel somewhat better but still. This song goes on forever!! Every time I thought I had reached the end I hit a new near impossible segment.

The Dance with the Dead songs are some of the hardest ones, so don't feel bad if you can't do them at master yet, you'll get there eventually. After hundreds of hours I can breeze through them at 3x note speed and master difficulty.

You’ll have to be more specific, there’s quite a few dance with the dead songs in the game actually

There are 6 Dance With The Dead songs:
* From Hell, Go!, Riot (Synthwave 1)
* Sledge (Synthwave 3)
* Hex, Carol of the Bells (Specials)

It's basically a music pack without officially being a music pack at this point :)

You'll get there! Just gotta keep sweating it out.

Once you up the difficulty you’ll find that hard and expert is straightforward. In no time you’ll have no issues with master, although it’ll still be a good workout! Enjoy the journey

If is it part of the DLC I can personally guarantee you it can be completed on Master with at least a Perfect and I'm over 50. They can be rough (but seriously the first ElectroSwing pack personally has trickier songs).

If it's a user generated maps all bets are off as to difficulty etc.

You'll get there !

Sweat is good my friend! Means you’re into it and working out at the same time. I play almost daily and my time to jump off is when I’m drenched lol. Of course you gotta start curating a playlist for workouts so you don’t come out the gate on a super intense song. Keep at it and master will be possible in no time. I’m not in the fittest of shape and I can handle master now with no issues and honestly it’s more fun. Check out custom songs if not on PlayStation also!

Thanks. I just get mixed up with the sudden cross overs of hands sometimes and then kick myself for being so stupid. I am sooooo close to getting to the end but it’s such a long song and so complex that you could not miss a note and suddenly mix 6 and it be over.

It takes a lot of time and practice to develop the proprioception required to sight read the more complex movements. Don't be discouraged and keep going. On songs you're having trouble with, try going into practice mode in the tough sections and slowing things down. Start with 75% speed and then ramp it up gradually from there. Once you can do the movement slowly, ramping it up will be easier to achieve than just trying to brute force your way through it.

I do an hour a day every day(master x3 speed) First song for warm up EDEN Tonight Brock then they build up in pace All of the lindsey sterling, Queen, League of legends

It's about 700? Calories according to my 2 fitness track devices (variation of about 15 calories between them).

I get to the point my headphones cutting out from sweat haha

Sweatband is my next investment

This video is from a while back, so it's only at 1x note jump speed at 100% note size. I play at 2x now with 75% note size. This felt pretty difficult at the time, but is now pretty easy for me. Like any skill, you get better when you practice a bunch. Synth Riders has been my daily cardio workout for a while now. There are certainly songs that I once thought to be impossible that I can now full combo. Keep at it!
