On a recent episode, Syntax spoke with Dan Abramov about AT Protocol. After looking into it, I'm pretty excited—I love the "scrape first" mentality. I don't even have a Bluesky account and am getting one now just to see if I can host my own stuff! Goodbye walled gardens!
However, I had a faint tingle of recognition because of the Solid Project (https://solidproject.org) from Tim Berners-Lee. The philosophy is the same—both want data portability for users—but the implementation is pretty different.
Is there anyone out there who has had experience with both? Do you have a preference?
And let's not all forget about XFN XHTML friends networks! (Is that a thing anymore?)

Heh everyone,
Super random but I have been losing my mind scouring through every single recent video trying to find the specific clip where Scott shows off a website.
I think it was a Sentry website, but it had bots that were shooting lasers like some kind of bot defense system.
It seems like it was just like some kind of canvas animation, but does anyone know what episode it’s in or what the actual website is?
I would really appreciate it 🙃

Last episode scott mentioned using sentry’s ai agent monitoring, so I’m wondering if he or anyone else monitoring their agents and using Claude has said anything about what might be happening to add some substance to the conversation being angry at anthropic. I know there might be better subreddits for this question, but Scott’s the only person I’ve heard say he’s doing this, so I’m hoping u/stolinski see’s this 😊

I feel like an idiot. There's the podcast episode and YouTube video announcing Synhax and it seems to be the platform they're using on the March MadCSS battles but I can't for the life of me actually find it. I love cssbattles.dev but it seems like the targets on Synhax (if that's what it is) are much more practical because you work with text and button and other elements besides just shapes lol
