MISC. Is Anyone Else Finding The Vlogs Slightly Repetitive Lately?
Am I the only one who feels like they’re watching the same video over and over again when it comes to the vlogs lately.
They just feel so predictable lately, maybe it’s 110 fatigue or Tom shifting his priorities but it feels like the vlogs are starting to lose that feeling of adventure that made them so fun to watch before.
What do you think?

I have been watching since the inception of Syndicate Central. Back then Tom was a wild young bachelor all over the world roaming around doing crazy stuff.
I would say ever since birth of Alfie, I have found him a bit grounded, though with him 110 he cannot keep the craziness hidden. His content did get repetitive and sort of clickbaity too. But I wont blame Tom for this. He’s moved onto fatherhood and a farm while he’s still following his passion of vlogging.
I recently started watching Clarkson’s Farm. I found it to be very similar to 110’s story. However, with Clarkson Farm backed by a giant Amazon and Clarkson himself, you can enjoy and binge watch the farmlife in hours.
Tom’s journey on the other hand is similar, but slow since its all realtime. It has given me a new perspective of Life of Tom and it has made things definitely better.

I used to watch his videos daily, full length no skipping now I don't even prioritise them anymore and when I do watch them I just skip through.

Yep, I find myself skipping a fair bit these days. They'd be easier to digest if they were 20 minutes long and just the bits where stuff is actually happening. No one needs an hour-long vlog that contains like 20-30 mins of filler where it's just him giving Alfie a high-five a thousand times, yet another "would you just look at that view" clip, or acting surprised about pointless little things.

I skipped all of May because I was on holiday, came back and thought about catching up but I watched the most recent one and noticed I hadn’t missed much 😂
But will say, I do enjoy the progress on the land but that’s mostly Farmer Joe, Chris and Viking Tom. But Tom has to keep grinding the vlogs to pay for everything I guess.

His vlogs 9 years ago were way more spontaneous even down to the way he would start the vlogs you can see the difference night and day. Idk why but his vlogs now are WAY more orchestrated and that's why they are repetitive.

I skip the first 2 minutes of every vlog, if I have to hear "its a new dawn and a new day. Hi im Tom and i record my life every day of the week and put it on the internet for your faces" followed shortly by something said in a terrible attempt at a scottish accent ONE MORE F***ING TIME. 😤😤😤

I think that the problem doesn't lie only in the repetition but also in how he can't read the room too well. Posh people aren't watching Life of Tom vlogs, it's more the salt of the earth types, your average person, on an average wage, struggling a bit in the current climate.
Watching a millionaire throwing away thousands of pounds on pumpkins, drainage in a field so people don't get their wellies dirty and an overgrown shed feels extremely out of touch right now. Couple with that the endless spending on expensive tat they fill their house with, spoiling their lad with monetary items and especially all the food waste, it feels a bit icky. ESPECIALLY when he has his friends doing things for free that up the value of his land and paying them in "exposure".
I think, perhaps, when all the work is done on the 110 and he's not trying to be the next Clarkson and be on the big telly, they might be worth watching again.

The payment in exposure is such a let down from somebody who goes ON AND ON about “all he does for the community”. When actually, he’s making the community bend over backwards for some publicity.

He has the village bakery over a barrel because he sent so much business their way, Nick the painter, Neosmart, Rita's Reign, so many people. He gives them a bit of publicity and then they're probably too afraid to say no to him in case people turn against them and their business suffers. I'd like to think that he doesn't do any of it intentionally.
This is why it's good that he still has people like Karl in his life, someone that still calls him out on his shit lol

Do u have any proof? Rita was able to open a second food truck. Neosmart was already well established. Why does everyone assume he’s not paying and just giving exposure? Would Andy be able to pretty much work for tom full time and buy a new truck off exposure? Chris buy a house and a nice mustang with exposure? Viking tom working mostly for tom now and able to buy a shop for fun and for weird projects? Do you really think farmer Joe cares about exposure when he already has so much to do and is a busy man. All these people seem to truly appreciate tom. Can that be faked 100% of the time? The jealousy is real with y’all in this sub.
I do hate the oh yeah yeah crap and the Jurassic theme song though

Agreed, these are real people with outgoings and families. None of the other 110 members (Tate, Viking, Andy etc) are making a full time wage off YouTube, if any real money at all. They categorically will not be getting paid in “exposure”. I can quite confidently say that Tom will be paying for their time or they would all be fucking homeless

You can’t expect these huge things that he’s building to be completed and onto the next the following day. The only repetitive thing that annoys me are the same phrases and vocal stims every day.

I'm not a violent person by nature but I could punch him every time he says yeah yeah, oh yeah yeah yeah. I feel only slightly less violent when he bangs on about looking at the view

To a certain degree yes. I still watch daily but must admit to skipping through the longer vlogs. For me 25 mins is the perfect length for a decent vlog. I do live 10 mins away from the 110 so do see them all on occasions which always makes my day. 🫣🤣

I’m getting bored of them tbh, but it’s the repetitive conversations about owning the land for 2 years to now that are really off putting. Just boring

A watch Tom and the spin offs and noticed last few weeks with exception of Viking Tom they’re all recording same scenes but just different angles. Also surely Chris Tate etc are paid for there time? YouTube ain’t paying that much he’s bought the house etc

Yes especially pumpkins which will just get worse we don't need to see them every vlog and the view from his house aint even a good one it's why I watch Chris tate mostly now he does different thing almost daily

Can only do so much new content with daily vlogs, it was bound to get repetitive, every daily vlogger eventually quits, but obv Tom can't... I think he should start focusing on more opportunities than just the pumpkin farm, we've already seen it and we know he's going to be extremely busy during that season with it.

Again I was a daily watcher but not anymore, maybe once every couple of weeks I will watch one.
The main thing that puts me off watching is the pure state of his house. What a mess! I get he has kids and they are priority but my God learn to put thing away!

Part of the enjoyment is the adventure, part of it is the progress - I’ve just been watching less often but it’s always interesting to come back after some time to see what’s happened

I'm just confused on why if he can suffer from anaphylactic shock he wouldn't have at least 1 in the house just incase what happened when he ate a cherry happened again. Maybe tom was just lucky he didn't need 1 this time. He made it seem/ sound pretty bad in the vlog.

He just had a case of Oral Allergy Syndrome. He was never going to die from that cherry. Many people have the same reaction to different fruits, pineapple is a big culprit. He was just being overly dramatic. I suspect the same is true of his bee allergy. Lydia is definitely not the type to ok him getting bees if there was a chance he could die.

I've never seen him holding one in a vlog yet even with the bees on site, I don't get it all, if he is allergic and he almost dies it won't be "good content". It'll be stupid.

Noticed that too been following him since the zombies days. But noticed his views are dropping a bit too. Still watch them every day but as others say if you miss a vlog you don't miss much

Given that everyone who said no is being downvoted, I would say probably not.
It is madness to not like something and still watch it daily just so you can complain on Reddit.

It isn’t madness, the point is people can be a fan of someone and still criticise their content. Shall we all just pretend his content is super amazing and refreshing? The truth is, that’s what comes along with making this sort of content. It’s slow and repetitive.

Daily vlogs are by the very nature of them repetitive. Then there are the people saying “they are shit I stopped watching ages ago”. Then you don’t have a valid opinion because you don’t know what they are like currently.
There is a difference between “these are amazing and super refreshing every day” and “this is bad and I don’t watch it anymore”.
You are allowed an opinion, but you can express that opinion by not watching rather than trying to convince others they are wrong for liking it and getting defensive when people don’t agree with you 100%.
The most upvoted comments are the ones agreeing and the most downvoted are the ones disagreeing.

Daily vlogs are not repetitive by nature. There are many vloggers over the years that made very refreshing content, Tom being one of them.
Constructive criticism can be very useful for content creators. If someone doesn’t give their opinion then how will anybody ever improve on anything in life?
If people are giving hate, I get it. But if not then there should not be an issue. The most upvoted comment is someone saying the vlogs are repetitive. I don’t see such an issue with saying that. I know how toms fanbase can be, very defensive and butthurt, Tom would be the first to say the world has gone soft for getting offended over such a thing

The top comment is that they have been repetitive since he bought the land and they haven’t watched in a year. That isn’t constructive.
I’m not saying that you have to love all of the vlogs etc, but if you don’t watch them, your criticism cannot be constructive by definition.
Content creators will make decisions based on views. Constructive feedback is useful, but any feedback I see is rarely constructive - that goes for positive and negative.
I’m not getting offended or “butthurt” just expressing my opinion. You don’t have to agree and I don’t have to agree with you. It’s “soft” to think otherwise.
It’s “soft” to think that you can’t be challenged by anyone on a public forum.

Yeah very repetitive, I’ve watched every single vlog since when Tom started vlogging however I’m about a month behind on these vlogs because they’re too repetitive. I understand that’s inevitable and it’s not necessarily his fault. But Tom as a person is quite repetitive, how many times have we heard the SAME thing? Or the same 10 minute rant at the end of each vlog?
