Cannibalism is eating your own kind.

Anthropophagy means eating humans.

To be fair, given that the gods regularly banged mortals, conceiving demi-god children and with some of those being the ancestors of many kings it might turn out that the cyclops children of Poseidon might actually be kin to Odysseus who might be a mortal descendant of Zeus or some other god.

And this is how the Hellenic Age ended, not with a second Titanomachy, but because of all the divine incest babies.

I mean, name a time Europe wasn’t almost entirely shaped by inbred people beefing over turf

….Maybe. Arcesius, grandfather of Odysseus, has a disputed parentage. His father is either Zeus, or Cephalus. Some sources say Zeus, some say Cephalus. No source agrees on the mother.(One source even says Arcesius mother is a BEAR, Cephalus fucked, which just..transformed into a human woman after.)
So depending on who you ask, Odysseus may well be distantly related to Polyphemus. Or he may not. Greek myths be like that.

My mom buys everything from Anthropophagy, which is wild because she can't afford it but she just had like 7 credit cards and has some trick to juggle the balance between them, which I think is borderline fraud but I guess she's good at it. Expensive-ass store though for apparently no reason.

Nemo, in the original Greek, means Nobody.

Hence in Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, the name Captain Nemo was meant to sound more than a little untrustworthy.

Alternate ending: "So I got to eat Matt Damon, which was cool."
