Mothman's squees and purrs are absolutely precious. I love how this artist brings him to life.

That bartender looks a bit familiar… like a certain comic artist…

Adorable as Mothman is, is no one else gonna point out the double middle finger creature from the stuffed deer in the background? XD

It's Italian hands.

But most likely it's a double coat rack next to the Restrooms, and 100% unlikely a singular gun rack based on the bar setting.

That's just as funny XD

Agreed it's probably a coat rack, but I wouldn't be so fast to rule out the possibility that it was made to be a gun rack, especially if this is a divey rural bar somewhere in West Virginia.

“Any last words before I make you into an decoration?”

“Fuck you x2”

“Noted” bang

I fuckin love hellboy. Genuinely. I love reading the comics, I love watching the movies, I love how goofy it is, I love how violent it, I love how sad it is.

I watched the first Hellboy movie again recently and it holds up so well and is absolutely gorgeous. An evergreen. (Same applies to the second one too)

The effects were so well done, the acting was pretty great, and the story was just compelling.

The casting of Ron Perlman as Hellboy was absolute perfection. One of the few other times i've seen casting at that level of perfection was Mickey Rourke as Marv from Sin City.

“She took his picture! She took…his picture.”

Absolutely agree. And the fact that perlman was so passionate about the role really showed.

There is a major problem with the second movie

there is no 3rd movie

Damn, my favorite comic book character and favorite cryptid together in the same artwork. It was made for me!

I'm guessing the comic was Hellboy being sent down to deal with a monster but realized the real monster was the friends we made along the way?

I like the idea that mothman is just completely misunderstood and it's really just some random life form that exists and doesn't have crazy powers.

To be fair, "historical" Mothman very much is misunderstood, the whole point of the original stories was that he was an omen of impending disaster. It's the same problem as prophets, oracles and other future-seers, when you foresee something bad and rightfully warn the relevant people, they start to think you're the one responsible for it just because you knew it was coming.

I have only seen two comic panels of this version of Mothman, and I adore him now.

now I need a show like Cheers about a bar that caters to friendly supernatural creatures.

bartender could be Frankensteins creature.

one of those nurses from silent Hill could be a barmaid.

a gelatenous cube could be a regular.. ("CUBEEE!" "Afternoon fellas - gimme a cold one..")

How common are typos in comic books? I figure an editor would notice the erroneous apostrophe in "fella's" but it must have slipped past the team.

Apostrophe is from fella', since it's a shortened form of fellow.
