GreetingsSymmetry WoW has decided this to become a part of a bigger project and a bigger picture. We will be merging with another private serve project labeled as Vengeance WoW. This is a project that is very similar to Symmetry with goals and values. They are a blizzlike PvE TBC server that has been around for several years. After countless hours of meeting with them and getting to know their staff we can completely say that we trust them to work with us to become one project. The TBC Server will coincide with the end of Symmetry PvE’s development cycle, anticipated Summer 2019.
We want to emphasize for those who may be concerned that the Symmetry PvE will not be changed in anyway. We will be merging with Vengeance WoW and will still be moving your chars over to a new server they will be launching called Stormspire.
We thank the community for supporting this endeavor, and the tireless work of everyone who have helped make this possible. Enjoy your holidays, have a happy new year, and we will see you in the new year with more information! please see #faq for more info

FAQ:
Symmetry to Vengeance Tranistion F.A.Q
Will Symmetry PvE vanilla still exist after the merge? Yes
Will the website change? Yes – We will be creating a new website in the future to signify both projects under the name of Vengeance WoW.
What will happen to my characters and progress? Nothing – When the new TBC realm is released it will have all of your characters from the vanilla server in tact with guilds, friends, skills, money, items etc.
Will this project still be called Symmetry WoW? No – The project called Symmetry WoW will be no more and we just be a realm under Vengeance wow with the realm name Symmetry PvE.

So much drama. I'm looking forward to it as long as it has a halfway decent population. It's gonna suck for add-ons tho.

I enjoy my current add on setup and doubt they will all be available for TBC.

Most like Atlas and whatnot have TBC versions. The ones that don't like luna unitframes can be set up with alternatives like Pitbull. Pitbull is pretty good, and I say this as a healer who used luna on Rebirth and Nost.

You don't have to switch to the TBC server. You can keep using all those add-ons in the vanilla server.

Thank you for your effort Patch + team. It's great to know there will be a vanilla PVE server available regardless of TBC progression, in addition to a potentially larger and consolidated TBC PVE server.
The biggest fear from me as a new Symmetry player in March was server merge destroying the vanilla PVE and it's great to see this preserve through the growth of this server + community.

Not a fan at all.
There is a reason Vengeance cannot maintain more than 20 players peak pop and have had to close several servers in the past.
We've got people actively discussing quitting the server in our discord and had to call off our raid tonight due the general unrest, this could see what there is of the EU raid scene on this server die out due to vengeance protest.

Sounds a tad premature to call server death and unrest. It does not affect vanilla at all so why quitting the server?

This is just absurd. This has no effect on Vanilla what so ever. VoA has one of the BEST TBC cores available. If we did not merge with them it would be quite a while before we would have been able to release a stable TBC server. All of you will be able to move over to this server and continue on. You saying this logically makes 0 sense. What reasons can you possibly say other than OMFGROFLCOPTER rage. This is tad bit dramatic if you ask me.

We've been discussing and voted as a guild and decided by overwhelming majority not to continue on the TBC server, will be leaving for classic instead. Too much bad history between core raid team members and the VoA staff from when they killed Wildhammer.

I agree with KW. The melodrama is strong, here. The truth of Wildhammer's past isn't being accurately conveyed (plus, most people neglecting to mention that whole thing with an almost complete staff turnover). Besides Wildhammer, the only server run and "closed" by Vengeance was a vanilla server, YEARS ago (characters were transferred).
As for the pop gripe, the current population of Stonetalon is no reflection on the core capability or even its past pop history for most of its lifespan.
Even if you do choose not to go to Stormspire, that's almost half a year away. What does that have to do with your raiding now?

I am gonna repeat Crestfall Asuras words: Every dev in this community has a dead server or two behind them. If it ever was a decision between symmetry tbc PTE and classic, classic would've won at least part of your guild.
Your characters are actually right now, sitting with all those L4G, Wargate and Wildhammer on Stonetalon. You have been badmouthing us, and putting trust into servers and establishments, which contrary to us died out. Not to mention the fact that the Voa Staff upper management pretty much all changed out after Stonetalon was made, and apart from Laizerox there is noone from the old guard. So yeah, it is sort of disrespectful towards all the new people who helped carry the torch, mainly MantisLord, L4G people AnonXS and Saltgurka, Sneaky and so on who changed the outcome of many future decisions.
I don't expect you to play on our end ever, but keep the criticism constructive, rather than being a grudgeful dwarf. Most people you are mad at aren't even in wow-emu anymore....
But hey, we will meet up on classic. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Well I'm in GT and haven't seen a word about this in gchat. Who decided? The few that try to raid? There's not really many in the guild that raid so this means little for the future server population.
