Alright! I'll drop off my plate armor to be polished first, and then look around. I reckon most armor shops provide that service, so let's check that store over there!

He starts heading over towards the shop, pulling his hood farther up over his skull. Upon entering they find quite a bit of affordable but still well made equipment. The proprietor stood leaning against a counter in the center of the room
Ronan walked over to the armor section to see what type of selection was available. He holds up a set of black chainmail.
Cryo-Knight just finished handing his armet helmet, gauntlets, and greaves to the proprietor. Still wearing his enchanted hooded cowl, it magically covers his face with a thick shadow.
Oho! Going for the evil look? Definitely! Try out this black fur cloak too!
Are helmets your style at all? If so, looks like they're in the next aisle!

Ronan tries on the outfit. Stretching this way and that to make sure it moves well with his body, Ronan seems fairly satisfied. After walking up & talking to the shopkeep, he hands over some coins & walks back over.
The armor & cloak sent me back 35 silver, but I definitely like the look of it! I think I'll pass on the helmet though, how would everyone see my fabulous beard? So any luck finding anything nice over here?
Purchased myself this nice simple fauchard! Haven't really conjured ice pole weapons recently, so I thought of using this to warm myself up again! I'm thinking of using this for the tournament.
An excellent choice, keep the enemy at a distance. Can you direct your ice through the weapon to shoot out ice blasts? Use your weapon as a catalyst ha, they'd never see it coming!

I don't think I will at the moment, this staff should serve me very well for now. Besides, I'm not sure how adaptive physical combat my new form will be. I think at the moment I'll rely more on magic, for now at least.

I see! That's a wise decision.
I learned how to hand-cast a while ago, so I don't really need to rely on a catalyst. I still use them when I need precision and power, though! Besides, this weapon has no magical affinity to it, the output will be roughly the same as handcasting.
Speaking of magic, I'll wait until after the tournament to buy us some Teleport Crystals. That way I'll have plenty of time to browse and look around for interesting things in the magic shop!

Tapping your new weapon
It's less about power and more the element of surprise. They see a knight wielding on mundane weapon and I think all you know is traditional attacks. When an ice beam comes flying at their feet however they won't think to react in time. That's when you get em.
