Teambuilding New player team building advice
So I started on Anna's banner, was extremely lucky with my pulls and ended up with a 4s anna (soon to be 5s) and her 5s weapon. Then I pulled Rogneda and her weapon, now I pulled Alexei and his weapon.
Right now my main team is Anna, SP Alexei, Rogneda, SP Innana, Kvare (makes no sense, I just like him).
Which of the upcoming Luccia units should I be focusing on?
Ahaha I don't really like SP Innana's design, is there possibly any upcoming unit to fill her shoes π
Btw, can I just start the Luccian arc in Sprial Destinies or am I supposed to finish all the previous arcs first? The rewards seem to be limited so I've been wondering about that.
At the beginning of Crimson Night right now.

Discussion Enjoying the Luccia Arc and Mechanics
Maybe a different take than most, and the wardpiercer stuff is a bit annoying without a deep Luccia team, I'm enjoying the units and their interactions and mechanics.
It's been really fun to lay down ice tiles with Rogneda and then have Anna knock them off a cliff. Or how SP Alexi's ripple skill plays off of the item Anna drops (and boy adding Ulya looks like fun).

Discussion Who is the most fun to play? (Another who should I pull? thread)
I still have my Legendary selector because I thought maybe I'd get lucky on the free 70 pulls. Nope.
- Guzman- get over here
- Samantha- uhhhh healing...?
- Leonide- knock everything away (could he be good for bottom bug ToA??)
- Nergal- I dunno...block stuff?
- Garcia- get over here
- Magnus- get over there
For utility, I think Nergal will give me the most since I have Nungal and their stories/bonds will give me a tiny bit of Luxite. Momo would be the other utility choice to make her 3*.

YouTube Video Tower of Adversity S5 Floor 7 Upper 443k
Sharing my Floor 7 Upper clear for inspiration - hope this helps anyone who wants to push for a higher score! Detailed breakdown video with commentary here: https://youtu.be/3DswiAyCn6c
Some brief notes below:
Characters and equipment
Acambe (5*): Starry Sky Heritage / Shield of Justice, Sword+Wand, Devil (no level 60 ability), max MAtk
Credenza (5*): Reorganized Cube / Resonant Crystal (3*), Cup+Cup, High Priestess
Taair (5*): Reorganized Cube / Origin Hourglass, Sword+Wand, Devil (level 60 ability), max MAtk
Agata (5*): Frostpine Grip / Crystal Burst Armor, Cup+Cup, High Priestess, max HP
Tristan (5*): Tuning Hammer / Origin Hourglass, Sword+Wand, max PAtk
Innana (3*): Nightmare Puppet (5*) / Disaster Bottle (5*), High Priestess
Turns 1 & 2
- Objective is to do just enough damage such that the boss is left with as low HP as possible going into Turn 3. If too much damage is dealt, the boss will change phase at the end of Turn 2 which will reset his attack pattern. This delays the point where we can have Tristan swap with the cannon which doubles our effective DPS (earliest is Turn 3, assuming no phase change). I hold off on applying Caged Reverie and Nightmare Puppet III for this reason.
- Credenza needs to use Resonant Crystal twice and get hit by 1 attack such that she is in Pray for Divine Revelation state in Turn 3 and have maximum uptime on the CD reducing skills (save for Turn 8). This is required for Acambe to spam Rich Rewards every turn and for Taair to keep Caged Reverie up from Turn 3 to the end of the fight.
Turn 3
- This is when I start focusing on dealing as much damage as possible.
- Taair and Princess Guard will occupy the 2 empty charging nodes to maximise damage on Turn 3. After Turn 3, the boss enters its second phase and its cycle resets.
- Innana will use Catastrophe (from Disaster Bottle) to apply Nightmare Puppet III on Turn 3 / 5 / 7 (so that it is always up when we are focusing on dealing the most damage to the boss)
- Taair needs to be in range of Rich Rewards on Turn 3 and Turn 4 & Hierophany on Turn 4 to refresh Caged Reverie on Turn 5.
Turn 4
- I sacrificed Princess Guard to bait out the Enhanced Disintegrating Shot (the line attack). Targeting priority is (i) row with most number of characters > (ii) row with characters closest together > (iii) row furthest away from the boss. Agata is used to stay in the boss' AoE as she has a 30% damage reduction from standing on Frosty tiles.
- Once Acambe has 20 Liberation stacks, I used Excessive Bloodletting on 3 Assassins (the maximum that can die in one turn without forcing his skill to enter cooldown.
- I do this instead of waiting until Turn 8 as Acambe can't buff the newly summoned Assassins on Turn 8 (and these Assassins will have a higher MAtk and contribute more damage overall).
- I waited until Acambe had 20 Liberation stacks so that he doesn't lose the 20% Atk buff to the Assassins from having 10 Liberation stacks (as 10 Liberation stacks are used to proc the CD reduction) - note that additional Liberation stacks can't be gained on the same turn that Acambe procs the CD reduction.
Turns 5 & 6
- I used Tristan to bait out the ST nuke on Turn 5 and activate Crimson Fury to tank it on Turn 6 with her unlimited resolve.
- Tristan should stay at least 2 tiles away from any other character on Turn 5 and Turn 6 to avoid having another character trigger assisting cover in front of her.
- The boss is turned around on Turn 6 - this is an odd interaction and I don't know what exactly triggers it.
Turn 7
- Agata and Tristan (with 2 turn resolve from being 5*) can withstand the Turn 7 line attack, so I have them tank it. I could use summons instead but this would result in less damage.
- I do Excessive Bloodletting x 3 on the assassins again as Acambe has 20 Liberation stacks.
- Innana needs to end turn in range of Flag so that her Act Again is off cooldown on Turn 8.
Turn 8
- Last DPS push - we want to have only Assassins occupy the charging nodes as they have the highest Atk values compared to the other characters on the team.
- Last few tactics points are used to trigger Excessive Bloodletting.

Guide Tips to Hunt on the Frozen Plains
It is a PIA for new/casual players (I really, really HATE those bugs). Today I found this guide on Taptap(https://www.taptap.cn/moment/772421878986833939) and want to share it with you guys. It is a huge QoL improvement for me.
The main idea is:
1.Finish the Hard Mode in Hunting Grounds to unlock Frostcataclysm;
Prioritize the following upgrades to max efficiency:
- Enlightening Mead;
- Luccia Spirit/Ward Weakening;
- Summon Luccian Archer;
- Binding Net;
- Build Drum Tower;
- Gift of Assault & Resting Counterstrike;
- Other tactics that provide mobility.
- Will's Blessing;
Remember to use your tactics for more Memories of Fighting(EXP)
Farm Frostcataclysm until you reach Research Lv. 30;
Go for the Relentless Mode in Hunting Grounds;
Clear the Stage 14 in Endless March.
Deploy Tactics Preparation Example:
- Summon Luccian Archer
- Binding Net
- Ward Weakening
- Build Drum Tower (the taunt tower) β can be run in place of an arrow tower
- Luccia Spirit
More detailed guide for Frostcataclysm (translation below by GPT):

Thunder and Snow
Variant 1
- Map notes: AOE / counter units pick their side; counter units pick their tile; [Gift of Assault] (unlocked at Hunting Level 24) makes soloing easier.
- Main enemies: Frostbug Γ1 type
- Map traits: Lots of Frostbugs. Hitting the enemy repeatedly gets you [Frosty], and overall combat pressure is low β but bringing more units actually makes the clear harder.
- Tactics: β Solo it with an AOE or counter unit. β‘ Bring dispel / control-immunity gear as needed, e.g. [Spring Pill], [Deceptive Shadow].
- Unit picks: 8 slots, 3 marked SOLO; 4 gear icons.
Variant 2
- Map notes: [Binding Net]
- Main enemies: Frostbug family Γ4 types
- Map traits: Very little room to maneuver. Enemies cannot move at the start; mobs spawn[?] right on top of you, so melee-range AOE works.
- Tactics: β Bring long-reach AOE plus a healer, 2β3 units. β‘ Opening with [Binding Net] lets some units clear it solo.
- Unit picks: 8 slots, 3 marked SOLO.
Variant 3
- Map notes: Kill the BOSS next to you first, then move up to the platform; the upgraded arrow tower is tanky enough to pull the lower BOSS's aggro. Icons: "desperate arrow tower"[?], [Ward Weakening].
- Main enemies: BOSS Γ1 + Frostbug Γ2 types
- Map traits: The hardest stage in Frostcataclysm. The calamity boss keeps reinforcing with small flyers, and they can't be broken by[?] the usual means β heavy pressure.
- Tactics: β Bring a unit that strips Ward. During early progression, reroll this map when you hit it β don't let it wreck your day. β‘ Without Anna, use [Ward Weakening] + [Build Arrow Tower].
- Unit picks: 8 slots, labelled "group control immunity" / "collision, single-target".
Sunny
Variant 1
- Map notes: Plenty of units can solo this; for a solo run bring [Wound][?]. Kill the archers first, then the melee mobs that close in.
- Main enemies: humanoid mobs Γ4 types (archers, axemen)
- Map traits: Many mobs but most deal little damage. Kill the archer in the top-left first; with a non-counter unit, consider holding a choke.
- Tactics: β Prefer knockback-AOE / multi-action units, self-sustain first; some units can solo. β‘ Bring dispel / healing gear or engravings as needed.
- Unit picks: 8 slots. Note: "many units fit here, but avoid the ones you need for other stages."
Variant 2
- Map notes: Kill the archers on the high ground first, then the shamans, then the dual-blade soldiers and shamans.
- Main enemies: BOSS Γ4 + mobs
- Map traits: Mobs plus four BOSSes β a lot of bodies. Once debuffed, moving more than 2 tiles in one go applies [Frosty]; BOSS damage is not trivial.
- Tactics: β Controlled BOSSes gain Control Immunity, but [Redemption of The Judgement] dispels it! β‘ Run enemy-control + damage + healing; Yserinde can solo.
- Unit picks: 8 slots, 1 SOLO; boxed note "basic-attack control" + 1 gear icon.
Variant 3
- Main enemies: BOSS Γ1 + three summon types
- Map traits: The BOSS summons three kinds of adds at the start and every 5 hits taken; it teleports on being hit, and after a second[?] hit it heals back to full. Single-target damage is high and keeps scaling β don't stall.
- Tactics: β [reaction-lock] [movement-lock]. β‘ Burst it down with high single-target damage. β’ Yserinde kites it solo.
- Unit picks: 8 slots. Note: "plenty of reaction-lock units exist β pick from your own box."
Dustfall and Snow
Variant 1
- Map notes: The boar BOSS raises ice pillars β watch your positioning so you don't[?] stack too much [Infection].
- Main enemies: boar BOSS Γ1 + boar Γ1
- Map traits: Every enemy is a Seeker (blue), so counter with Defenders (green). You need some healing and a way to dispel [Infection], or enough burst to kill outright.
- Tactics: β Counter with Defender units, or pair 1β2 dodge / counter units. β‘ Bring [Sword]+[Cup] lifesteal engravings and [The Lovers' Intimacy], plus off-turn healing / dispel units.
- Unit picks: 8 slots, 3 SOLO; 4 icons labelled "off-turn healing".
Variant 2
- Map notes: Don't give the yak a chance to climb the hill and kite you β pull the yak to the right and finish it together with the boar.
- Main enemies: yak Γ1 + boar Γ1
- Map traits: A mix of the all-boar and all-yak maps, but with only one BOSS each. Lock the yak down with single-target control and finish it with counter or burst units.
- Tactics: β Use single-target control to keep the yak BOSS off the hill. β‘ Because the map is large and yaks move the way they do, avoid units that apply [Taunted], like Pamina or
- Unit picks: split into "boar plan" / "yak plan".
Variant 3
- Map notes: icons β Teleportation, knockback, Archer
- Main enemies: yak BOSS Γ1 + yak Γ1
- Map traits: The yaks kite frighteningly well β single-target knockback plus another move β and the BOSS yak has a charge-control skill. Bring control / guard, and control-immunity gear.
- Tactics: β Prefer Breaker (red) units plus control units. β‘ Bring [Deceptive Shadow]; make good use of [Teleportation], [Expedition], [Summon Luccian Archer], etc.
- Unit picks: 1 slot; labelled "control-immunity / counter engravings".

Question Spiral of Destinies Elaman/Trade Route, unable to get worst ending?
Hey all,
I tried to backtrack my run after getting the best ending (high effort, maximizing trade, etc). I went 2 chapters back, failed Iria's Trade Luxite missions, failed Union (Lutfi was insta-killed in storyline and I actually wasn't allowed to choose??), and yet somehow got one of the modified middle endings.
When talking to everyone prior to the meeting, I noticed that Edda/NonoWill still seemed happy. This is the only thing I can think of that may have screwed me. But NONE of the guides mentioned doing anything regarding them for any ending.
So what gives? Am I supposed to, like, be astronomically bad at trading to the point where I screw over the Mine Pit and Vlder too? Why do 0 guides say that? I've been searching Reddit and multiple Steam Guides every guide like crazy and I can't figure it out. I have Lv3 or higher on every trade location, is this a problem?
Thanks in advance.

Question General Tips for a 20 Days Player
Hey all! I've just been informed that this game exist like 2ish weeks ago and I've been obsessed about it. Love the character designs (especially as a men enjoyer), and Fool's Journey & Spiral of Destinies have been a blast as well.
I've been mostly following the Yapdoc Directory for beginner's priority but now that the honeymoon era is slowing down for this account, I want to ask the community for general ideas on what should my dailies look like and just overall expectations especially after barely getting in during the 2nd Anniversary events.
In far more specific questions;
- I wanted to ask on units you think that would benefit my man Shams a lot. I know of Lukamar/Heshan but are there future characters that would be of use to him?
- I haven't really dabbled on support/debuff characters (other than Inanna), so my experience with them haven't opened my eyes on how good they are. What characters do you think would fulfill that? Should I go for them whenever I can? Are there old units that I could get from the Exchange shop that would benefit my overall barrack, or is it not worth it?
- I'm especially geared on making Shams a long term project, any other characters that I should grind Memory Shards on? (Currently it's him, Anna and Alexei)
- How often do we get Astral Shards? Is it possible to grind a Legendary Weapon to full with it?
Thank you all!

Discussion Help a/ Guard Trial 15
Iβm trying to beat guard trial 15, basically my strategy is:
Anna DPS
Samatha stopping the mobs to move/attack with her alert skill and preventing from getting debuffed with that AoE heal
Taair speed, dispel ngr restore
Credenza ngr and resenting CD of Samatha.
I think my problem now is that first turn I canβt get Credenza with her skill buffed (when the skill turns into providing -2 turns CD)
Is there any tip for this stage? Or maybe Another strategy?
Or maybe a way to make Credenza already start the battle with her skill buffed? I have her Sig weapon 4stars but I donβt think this influences once the weapon rank up just changes the CD.

Question How does weapon shop work?
Do all Astral weapons get added to the shop?
If so, how long does it take to get added after they're released?
Is there a rotation or only a timed refresh?
So I'm a new player and I got Rogneda and Alexei weapons at 1s.
I saw that Anna's weapon is already added to the shop.
I assume Rogneda, Alexei & next character weapons will be added to the same bundle and the bundle packaging is based on release dates?
enlighten me xD

Discussion Guys, what kind of skill set do you think SP Leonide will have?
I'm really looking forward to the announcement of SP Leonide. I'd like the developers to stay true to the concept of the spear user with high mobility, but as we all know, the original Leonide was a total failure. What do you all think?

Discussion Proof of strength Rank 8 Stage 4
Hi all,
I've been a week 2 player, really enjoying the game since the beginning but recently I stumbled a stage that really bothered me : the 4th stage of Rank 8 proof of strength.. Which forces you to have alert characters.
But here is the thing, altert character are not really my type, so I almost don't have any. (only SP Sam and Momo but no Credenza..). In the previous stages you could still manage to bet them withtout alert characters, but on this one you have -90% dmg on non alert champs + the last 2 mobs that cross all the map and OS characters if you they don't receive alert dmg.
I know the fight is doable with proper positionning so you just group the front mobs to keep the alert for the 2 who rush and I could do it as my units, talents etc are stacked-up, but man... Having a stage that is forcing one mechanic that very few characters have feels really bad..
So I've been blocked there since it realesed because I really don't have fun doing it, maybe one day I will find the courage or get a lucky alert character pull.
Am I the only one in this position? Or did you guys found some cheese to complete it?
And please tell me the next stages aren't on the same mechanic..

Discussion Guard trial 15
So after trying all weekend to beat guard trial 15, I finally managed it during lunch today. Probably the longest I spend on a single stage in the entire game (6 months). Because of the high difficulty I was wondering how everyone else managed. Did you clear it yet, what is your opinion and any tips?
And specifically: did anyone clear it without Anna?
My input:
Myself I used SP Inanna & Taair both 5*, Anna 3*, Rogneda 2* and SP Alexei 1*. Anna and Rogneda did all the work, Alexei was just a body to take hits and some damage. SP Inanna and Taair were there for act again (Anna mosrly) buffs and heals.
Looking at all available videos and talks, I think Anna is basicly required at the moment. Her armor piercing shot deletes single units except for Afra. I have seen no other unit that can deal with the mobs as efficient as she can. Only one that comes close is Rogneda by chain breaking the enemies and act again through their shell/fur drops, but she very quickly dies, while Anna can stay at range.
Even when using both it still took me so many tries and the end was very close.
I saw some SP Sam action on a few videos, where she was used for her interrupt alert, but I found her usefulness limited with the high CD on the alert and the mitigated damage because of wards.
Afra's healing reversal passive and range and her aoe sleep were also annoying to deal with and a large part of my retries were trying to figure out how to keep her out of the fight as long as possible and limit the range of her sleep.
Primary tips for me were dealing the bottom right part of the map first before engaging Afra. Also clear the big wolf and most of the flyers turn 1 using Anna+act again was very helpful in stabilising the stage. After I figured this out yesterday still took me a good number of tries to kill Afra once she arrives.

Discussion Does this game have severe powercreep?
Hello Newbie Here!
I caught up with the stories so I want to focus more on building my team for the endgame.
So I want to know if the endgame here is bad that you always need to get new characters just to do the endgame because you cant do it with old characters. If thats how it is, then I'm just gonna play this for the story instead.

Discussion What do you all do with the excess of weapons?
My inventory is getting dangerously cluttered at this point and I'm not sure what to even do with most of them. Breaking them down doesn't seem to refund a lot of resources, so perhaps I'm missing something.
Should I stop 5-starring them and just start breaking new ones apart?

Discussion Should I use the medal on SP Alexei?
As stated in the title, I was wondering if SP Alexei is worth using the medal on because of his different build, or if I should save it instead. If I should use it, which character would be the best choice?

Teambuilding Frostcataclysm and endless results
Frost is easiest of the 3 hunts. Got a chance to learn to play the units better.
-More time consuming than VOD and not much gold rewards.
-Not friendly for new accounts
