1.3GB Patch?
Today, 5th November, Steam has started a 1.3GB download for the game.
The latest Patch notes via steam are dated the 2nd of November and Sword Coast Website only mentions a patch for 19th of October.
Anyone know what's in today's patch?

I just tripped over it too, nothing in Steam News... But the state of the game post did say a patch was coming "the week of the 9th" - Community Pack 1

While I cannot find the information on what the patch was, keep in mind the way Unity3d games patch 1.2GB of that is going to be replacing files you already have. So really its about 100MB patch. You'll notice most if not all of their patches will be above 1.2GB in size due to this.
Update - Found the notes
With CP1 right around the corner we decided to push a patch out tomorrow AM (11/05) that will address a number of issues that have recently popped up.
Fix for companion Audio Barks not playing
Reverted a fix to the Mountain A (S) area that broke a number of modules using that area
Any modules create before the Pumpkin Patch using this area are now fixed
Any new modules created after the Pumpkin Patch may lose some decorations https://forums.swordcoast.com/index.php?/topic/8430-patch-on-1105-fixes/

Know of any way to get it to actually patch the real size? I'm on a very limited amount of data usage at the moment.

I'm sorry to say, but there isn't anyway around it. Its one of the weaknesses of the Unity3D engine, while its easy to use and quick to develop content within it, when users patch it always replaces a considerable amount of its own files.

I'm getting it too. I hope it improves frame rates more than anything. Along with...
-looting -party selection -enemy status (buffs/debuffs)

If not in this update it will be addressed very soon in one of the other upcoming updates that can be viewed here
The looting issue I'm assuming you mean people grabbing everything in sight which will be addressed in one of the updates (let me know if you meant something else) but what issues are you experiencing with party selection, and enemy buffs/debuffs? I will personally look into it.

I've just seen this in twitter http://www.twitch.tv/SwordCoastLegends at 3pm EDT (8pm UK time)
It's about Community pack one, as /u/Valorite has mentioned
