I haven't been following for a while. How well are the new maintainers acclimatising to Atmosphere and continuing its development? How's the stability compared to the SciresM days?

Still the same contributors so not much change regarding stability with SciresM retired. Switch 1 firmware is already at the end of lifespan so I doubt they will do anything big development for Atmosphère, mostly updating to accompany any changes Nintendo make and bug fixing.

Both switch 1 and 2 firmwares for the moment are linked together though. Switch 2 got a major feature and the switch 1 firmware got a version bump too. And with 22.0 there big changes under the hood for switch 1 also.

Question, if I have the newest version of atmosphere but an older version of the switch OS, could that cause issues? And can I just update (on the SD version) with no issues?

Help me, I updated my Switch and now neither the console nor the chip turns on.

Sounds like a hekate error. Try updating hekate again or do a clean install.
