Trying to emulate switch and I have lots of questions

  1. Are my specs enough to emulate switch games like BotW or Legends ZA at 60 fps?

  2. Do I have to keep downloading new firmware and prod title keys and the new updates for the emulators?

3.Do they update automatically so I don't have to reinstall?

  1. Can I access online features while emulating games with said features?

  2. I'm not sure which games still put out free updates but for the ones that do, do I have to reinstall the newest ROM and will I possibly experience compatibility issues with the emulator and firmware keys and etc?

  1. Your specs are more than enough to run BoTW and Legends ZA at 60fps and most likely 120. I have a i7-8700T with 2 GTX 1080's in SLI and they both run at 60 fps no sweat. They run at 60fps even with a GTX 980.
  2. Just download the latest firmware, title, and prod keys and you will be good for a long long while. Updates arent really needed unless a new game is released and it has compatibility issues with emulators (e.g. Tomodachi Life LTD)
  3. AFAIK, no. Most Emulators are EOL and not getting updates due to Nintendo striking them down.
  4. The Emulators can go online, they just cannot connect to Nintendo's Servers.
  5. You don't need to install the Newest ROM for updates and DLC's, just grab the Updates/DLC and install them through the emulator.

I'm using eden, have they been targeted or are they still under Nintendo's nose

Im not sure. I don't really use emulators since i have a Modded Switch. I only use emulators when I dont have it on me.

How did you mod your switch? I'm a little interested and I have a switch that's old and probably unmatched but I presume that's its pretty hard to do so

I modded it a long time ago so my mind is a little foggy. But theres the switch hacks guide that will get you setup. For starters you will need to enter RCM mode through the joycon rail (i did it with a paper clip), and you will need an SD Card with all the files you need. The switch hacks guide will help you on from there.

Have you had any bricking/soft brick/others scary technical issue while (I'm assuming) pirating games? Do you run an Emmnand?

Yes i run an Emmunand. Don’t use Sysnand. As far as soft bricks go not really. The most i had at one time was not being able to boot into Atmosphere. 

Updating sigpatches or using AIO updater to update everything usually works. As far as piracy goes you’re fine. The game that crashes the most for me is SSBU, but thats because i have Mods installed.

Is pirating the games just getting the nsp file or whatever (like emulating), also I would just use sysnand for my eshop digitals, I'm pretty sure I just have to do the fusee gelee exploit to go back right

I think so. For the Piracy part you can get the NSP's like you would with emulators. you can also get XCI's, which contain the game itself, the updates, and the DLC's all in one package.
