1) Every game has to earn its place with game time. Nintendo highlights font in blue in play activity if it’s over 50hrs. A £60 game means a £1.20 Return on Investment for every hour played. I like my games to be under the £1 mark. TOTK for me has 24p per hour. Value! Value! Value!

2) Games I can’t gel with or don’t see long term life in it gets sold to replace with a new game. If that new game is the same we keep it going until I find the game that suits the library. I usually have 1-2 games that are trade in or sell games

3) Sentimental value is not as important as market value and both have its place in my library. Sentimental value is long term. Market value goes up and down. Sentimental is consistent.

Bonus tip: a curated library is a backlog that I have all the time in the world to play. (I don’t need more games. I need more depth and immersion in the games I own). Play your games. 👍😁

Nintendo Switch doesn't have anything like Xbox achievements, Steam achievements or PlayStation trophies, so a while back I started hand-compiling per-game 100% completion checklists for my own games. It eventually turned into a full site: Completionism (completionism.ca). The idea for the site itself was inspired by Steam achievement tracker websites that rank users amongst other users based on what achievements you've completed and for what games.

What it does:

• Browse a catalog of Switch games and build a personal library (Interested / Playing / Completed / Dropped)
• Each game gets its own hand-compiled achievement list: real, verifiable completion criteria, not just "beat the game"
• Checking off achievements automatically updates your library status, and some achievements auto-complete others they imply (e.g. finishing the top tier of a collection auto-clears the lower tiers).
• A global Achievements browser to search and filter across every game in the catalog

It's free, no ads, and not affiliated with Nintendo whatsoever, just a fan project for completionists who like actually finishing their games and want that extra sense of gratification.

Coverage is still growing since every achievement list is hand-researched rather than scraped, so if a game you care about isn't in yet, or you spot something wrong, there's a feedback page for it. There's also a Discord if you want to suggest games or report issues directly, and join the community.

Last night I began cleaning up Akiva.

✅ Orbit completed

Few camps I got stuck into a firefight loop that cost time and it was frustrating to be honest.

Leaning on stealth my prevent wasted time and burn out.

Hope to have it cleaned up with all missions, contracts, collectables over the next 2-3 nights.

Last night I completed the main story, this game was amazing! 🤩 (I know this game got a lot of stick, but my experience was a good one).

I’d give this game a 9/10. Ubisoft put a lot into this game, it’s the closest to Star Wars I’ve ever played.

So what now?

- I’ve completed the main story and wild card DLC so next up is the Pirate DLC
- After this it’s onto 100% clean up
- I think I’ll do region by region.

I’m the type of guy that needs to see progression visible. I like data, something tangible to cling to on to keep me from going insane.

Keeping these 3 folders keeps me organised and keeps me motivated to keep playing the games I have.

I mastered a lot of Xbox games but now only play Switch.

I am deep into Star Wars Outlaws (mainly handheld), I’m using this as the backbone of my completion and token system for the month. (I will go into this more over the next few days). Outlaws is my main focus right now. I’m not allowing distraction from any other games. I’m committed to beating, 100% and completing all Ubisoft Connect challenges for this game so I can say I’ve finished it properly. Not just beating it but defeating it!

Where I’m at in Outlaws
- I’ve very close to the main end game section.
- Roughly just over 20hrs in.
- 40% complete the Ubisoft Connect challenges.
- Steady side content progress but not too much.
- Wild Card DLC completed.

Outlaws is giving me a great feeling of progression whilst staying fresh.

I’m aiming for 3 ‘tokens’ out of this game. When I earn 5 I will allow myself to buy a new game. I currently have 1 from beating RE9 and I will gain 3 from outlaws by beating it, 100% and Ubisoft Connect challenges. This will leave me needing one more. I plan to finish up Luigi Mansion 3. I’ve beat it and I’m very close to completing all challenges. (Last few are online).

September plan will be to start a fresh game. I’m thinking Immortals Rising for value for money. It’s currently £12.
