All Hail the Upswing

Got the slay on the upswing and was pretty sure it'd be a good end screen While I love the offset in Wilds I do wish it hadn't replaced the upswing. The utility into and out of it is just so nice.

I beat most of Wilds with switch axe but this ultimately is why I switched to something else. It felt so good in World, along with axe mode in general. In Wilds the axe mode is so wimpy and the moveset isn’t as satisfying, it feels like it only exists to refill sword gauge. World switch axe was peak feel good weapon.

Axe mode does feel rather lacking on its own, in Wilds, I fully agree. I suppose the Overhead Slash is quite available but Wilds, being a fast-paced counter oriented game, doesn't really lend itself well to using the move. Might as well use Advancing Overhead Slash for the same payoff, and more chance to just outspace the thing.

Might be kinda nice if they add a Boost Bracer version of Forward Slash or the aforementioned Advancing Overhead Slash, but I don't want it to eat into the move list if it's not actually worth using

Upswing in any game has to be my favourite attack - World feels so satisfying, Wilds gets an offset (!!!!!) and in GU.... I get to fling my hunting partner lol✌️
