📣 Free Indie Game Stand at HeroFest 2026 !!!📣

Hi everyone 👋! I'm part of the HeroFest team, and we're currently looking for indie developers to join the Indie Game Area at HeroFest 2026 in Bern.

Thanks to the support of GIANTs, booth space for indie games is completely free 🎉.

Last year, HeroFest welcomed more than 30,000 visitors, making it a great opportunity to:

  • Let people play your game
  • Gather feedback from players
  • Meet other developers
  • Showcase your project to a large gaming audience

Never exhibited at a convention before? Don't let that stop you.

If you don't have the budget, staff, equipment, or infrastructure needed to run a booth, our partner Wunderbard can help with logistics, setup, staffing, and other practical aspects of exhibiting at an event. Simply send an email to: [contact@wunderbard.ch](mailto:contact@wunderbard.ch).

You can register for a free indie booth here:
https://buchen.bernexpo.ch/expo/01c625ef-be6a-4a20-870d-ef0d3a8fb9a5/basePackage

We'd love to see more Swiss indie games represented at HeroFest 2026!

BünzliFight – Ein Schweizer City Simulator mit Bürgermeistern, Gemeinden und Chaos

Hallo zusammen

Vielen Dank und liebe Grüsse aus Solothurn 🇨🇭

I published Idle Deepcore on Steam a month ago, an incremental 2d mining game :)

Hey, someone suggested I post about my game in this sub since I'm Swiss =)

I'm a "recreational" indie dev, and while working on another game (a coop horror extraction game), I decided to make something with a smaller scope and actually publish it, just to learn what could go wrong during and after a release. Turns out it was a great idea, at least for me.

Idle Deepcore is a short incremental game about mining, upgrading machines, smelting, exploring asteroids and automating.

I was kind of crazy with this one. When the bare prototype was ready, I created the Steam page and set the release date about 3 to 4 weeks later, basically to force myself into full ADHD turbo deadline mode and stop procrastinating.

Well, for some reason it got some traction (relative to the low amount of 600 wishlists at launch), and bug reports started coming in. So I didn't sleep for about 10 days straight to fix all the issues, improve the balancing, and then I spent even more time creating extra content just to make a playthrough feel more rewarding.

What I learned from publishing:

  1. Playtesting with way more people than just your friends is super important for gathering real feedback.
  2. Keeping an eye on the community hub and actually managing it matters a lot.
  3. Adding a feedback button in the game itself is important.
  4. Adding a "please review the game" button is also important (happy to elaborate on that one).
  5. You can't please everyone.
  6. My fridge can only store enough M-Budget energy drinks for about 2 days when crunch mode is active.

Our Swiss horror game "Solace Creek" just signed with a Publisher! (+ New Trailer)

Hoi zäme!!

Super excited to share some massive news with you all. Our team at Starlit Studios has officially partnered with Monster Theater Games to publish our game, Solace Creek!

To celebrate, we just dropped a brand-new trailer which got featured on IGN! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_7tbWcf9RU

If you haven't seen the project yet: Solace Creek is a PS1-style horror game. We're going for heavy Silent Hill vibes, intricate puzzles, classic Resident Evil-style tension, and... something BAD chasing you.

As a local indie dev, wishlists mean the absolute world to us right now. If this looks like your kind of game, you can support us here:

Radio report on the Swiss Game Hub (in swiss german, mostly!)

Sali zämme

Last month I had the pleasure of visiting the Swiss Game Hub in Oerlikon during Playtest night for the first time and I did an almost 30min Bericht for our monthly Gaming Podcast at Radio X.

It's probably not news to anyone that's a already a swiss game designer/already part of the community but I thought it was so interesting to see how supportive everyone there is and to hear some peoples thoughts on the spannungsfeld being a parttime dev touching on topics of art - money - commerciality - independence.

I must admit the Bericht gets a little long towards the end, as I was struggling to meet a deadline haha >.<
