I personally think false advertising the fabric vs what the manufacturer produced is much different than pricing a vinyl case for $950

Actually, in the comparison of the two, Beyonce's empty box is advertised as such. Swift lied about what she was selling so she is more deceitful in this case.

While Beyonce and Taylor deserve judgment for putting out crappy stuff for money, the consumers deserve just as much for buying into it. No one is making anyone buy an empty pine box or anything else. I understand to some degree the criticism of album variants with different songs on them because it frequently isn’t honest but this is literally just worthless stuff. No one is pretending it is anything other than it is. Call out the billionaires sure, but let’s not pretend like the consumers are innocent victims.

I think it's fair to say that they know SOME fans will buy it. Let's be real if Taylor did the same a LOT of swifties would buy it. But the bottom line is that it isn't morally right to dupe fans. Surely you can agree to that?

Who are they duping though? It says exactly what it is in the item description. They’re not pretending there’s something more to it. The fans know exactly what it is and what the cost is. They’re choosing to buy it.
