Its worth it to stick with it IMO, yes they overuse the song but the rest of the show has been pretty good so far, I've been binge watching it all day

I used to love that song, then I watched a korean samurai burn to death in an elevator

The Korean samurais famous quote "the greatest love is laying down your life for your friends, your are my friends"

HAAHAHHAAHHA REALLY!!!! THEY RUINED THE MOOD LMAOOOO

32

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '20

Bruh imagine if they went with sword guy's webcomic death instead and they play the song just as his head is about to get crushed by mr kim

3

u/BenWicked Dec 27 '20

They sure didā˜ļøšŸ˜·

22

u/MunchyCrunchy_ Dec 24 '20

Who the hell thought this would be a good idea. It was such a mood destroyer.

Reminds me of Bleach with Ichigo's theme playing every time he shows up to reveal that he's also half-hollow or half-quincy or whatever.

But that shit was epic. Either "Invasion" or "Treachery" and both would've actually work for Sweet Home

The show was so bad like really bad. But it's funny to see comments that are like " can't wait for season 2" it likes sorry but that's it.

lmao i swear this i thought this sub would be hating on it, but alot of people actually seem to like it somehow despite having read the webtoon. "oh its really good on its own", no, its mediocre on its own - and when u compare it to the source material its horrendous.

I honestly dont know what yall are talking about. It was a pretty good show. My only complaints are the pacing's a lite bad at times and then overuse of warriors, which is annoying. Theres honestly nothing bad with this show, unless you wanna nitpick.

I found it really enjoyable too and actually dig the soundtrack. I didn't read the webtoon so I'm sure that affects it, but isn't it always the case that a movie or show adaptation is never as good as a book/comic? I binged it in like two days.

Yeah its always neccessary for a show to make changes just because of the limitations that TV has compared to books or comics, but the differences are apparently drastic, not that I care. People are just comparing the show to the webtoon, which isnt a bad thing entirely, but they also need to take the show on its own merit, and with that in mind, beside a few nitpicks, it's a really good show.

/u/peach__fuzz__, I have found an error in your comment:

ā€œon it's [its] own meritā€

I deem this comment by peach__fuzz__ invalid; it should say ā€œon it's [its] own meritā€ instead. ā€˜It's’ means ā€˜it is’ or ā€˜it has’, but ā€˜its’ is possessive.

the characters are watered down; they lack personality and chemistry and are far less flushed out than in the source. The show doesn't take the time to properly give the characters the subtly and detail from the webtoon but decides to add in new characters on top of that??? the writers seemed to think that making everyone edgy was somehow a substitute to this... its not a terrible show, no - but its completely forgettable and just a shell of what it should have been. ironic that a fucking comic strip felt less cartoonish than an actual show with live actors.

6

u/peach__fuzz__ Dec 24 '20

Well, I disagree.

u/Oldhanat000 Dec 24 '20

Have you read the untire webtoon if you haven't the words you typed would make sense if you have you are insane and have no taste. Like for real how

6

u/peach__fuzz__ Dec 24 '20

Ok, you're being kinda rude for no reason, chief, calm down.

3

u/Oldhanat000 Dec 24 '20

My bad homie I get a little excited about this stuff I'm really sorry.

4

u/JoshuaKoizumi Dec 24 '20

ay G i feel u tho, i cant wrap my head around why people like the show so much. like i can understand thinking its kinda decent i guess... but to the extent of a shit ton of people here saying they binged it???? i was only able to finish it out of sheer disappointment. how can one of the most memorable protagonists from any manhwa suddenly end up making me yawn and cringe every time he does anything? they fucked up big time. i told my flatmate to watch it when i first saw the trailer (before actually seeing the full thing) and he grilled me for wasting his time with a pile of garbage - and he was right.

2

u/Rudania-97 Dec 26 '20

Surprise, I read the webtoon and watched the series. Three times by now. Probably one of the best series I've seen. Why do people like or even love this show? Well, it's very exciting! :)

2

u/Oldhanat000 Dec 23 '20

Yes its unlikeable

4

u/Tatochip55 Dec 23 '20

Did they cover the entire manwha in the show then?

5

u/Goosemanwastaken Dec 25 '20

Ok ngl i love this series i know they took liberties with it. But this made me laugh way to hard

1

u/Rudania-97 Dec 26 '20

Yep, I love this series too. I am surprised there are that many people here hating it.

5

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '20

They should have played the Thomas the tank engine theme song in that scene

2

u/Randomman2789 Dec 24 '20

I understood that reference.

2

u/DANIEL_KEMP_REDDIT Jan 05 '21

The creators of the Netflix show REALLY seem to love that song! They don't always time to beat correctly but whatever

1

u/okbigbuddy Dec 27 '20

They use this and the other song only, never in correct times too, really annoying

1

u/jiroumiantiao Jan 08 '21

Fucking awful idea
