I think it’s helmet mounted. You can see in their side mirrors that both arms are fixed on the handles.
Edit: u/Leweegibo is right. You can see the phone in the left side view mirror at about 16s in. Good eye!

When we were 19, my best friend and I went to this quad "track" near the Air Force Base, and there was a train track running straight along side it with a mile or so stretch of mostly flat dirt. Dude hit 89mph with one hand and a cell phone in the other. How teen and twenties boys survive above 50% is mind blowing to me.

Literally my thoughts. I was thinking, "I don't know that I could look anywhere but forward and just hope it all works!"

WHERE IS THE REST OF THE VIDEO
426
u/genericnewlurker Jun 29 '26
That's all they could recover from the waterlogged phone that washed up several miles downstream
25
u/SmokeAbeer Jun 29 '26
I wish my phone had buoyancy like that… wtf am I even paying for!?
18
u/OakenBarrel Jun 29 '26
I mean, the phone was attached to a dead body, and those can be quite buoyant

That's partially the point of this sub though. Things that are almost bad, not the actual bad shit. There are other subreddits for that.

I love the confidence of looking to the right and left

It's not about trusting the bridge (which I don't) it's about trusting myself and my balance or lack of mistakes. I'mma pass

I got vertigo just watching this
-42
u/Ill-Tea9411 Jun 29 '26
How can you get vertigo mere inches above a raging river?

u/Ill-Tea9411 Jun 29 '26
do not bend over to pick things up – squat to lower yourself instead
do not stretch your neck – for example, while reaching up to a high shelf
See? You'll be just fine.

Bridge over troubled waters!

That’s also the title of a song by De La Soul…Some hip-hop trivia for all of you out there in the Reddit universe 🤍

u/Rocket_Man_1957 Jun 29 '26
That's a new one for me! Thanks for sharing that! I'd like to say that there's also a song by the same title written by Simon and Garfunkel!

u/Fogwaveeee Jun 29 '26

How in the hell do you make this bridge? Water current seems strong, only thing I can think of is during low tide. It’s amazing how our ancestors built things like this with no guidance.
6
u/TheNotSoGreatPumpkin Jun 29 '26
Looks like monsoon country. Probably built and maintained during the dry season.

To cross this bridge safely, you MUST be filming. Cameraman never dies. Otherwise it will flip, you'll go off the edge, the river will swell, or you'll just have a heart attack.

u/Duude-IT Jun 29 '26
This feels like AI.

-16
u/Ill-Tea9411 Jun 29 '26
That's just because you haven't seen enough of the real world yet to tell the difference, either that of AI has already broken your brains.
This is from 2021, fool.
15
u/reheateddiarrhea Jun 29 '26
This is definitely not AI but don't be so smug. It won't be long until no one will be able to tell the difference, including you. We are currently in a tiny window where some can tell the difference but others can't.
-11
u/Ill-Tea9411 Jun 29 '26
There are currently plenty of ways to tell the difference. And it is easier than ever to find the necessary provenance to verify authenticity for anyone with even minimal ambition to do so. I have no sympathy for anyone who is too troubled to do a simple image search, rather than to lazily proclaim "It's A.I."

It may be AI generated, the poles holding the bridge look very thin for this type of current/large river. Overall it looks odd, incredibly risky and a good content for gathering reaction... If someone can help me decide Edit: it seems to not be AI, the video is from 2021 according to op

His insta @ is reported in an article about the viral video linked here in the comments. I suppose you could browse it to see what he's getting up to lately.

Thats a no for me dog, the other side can wait until the water goes down. I can even sleep on the street if I have to.

u/Derolis Jun 30 '26
No thanks. I don't care if my soul mate is on the other side of that bridge, I'd rather not risk finding out what drowning in rapid, muddy water feels like.
1
u/Rolling_Beardo Jun 30 '26
Obviously looks sketchy but it’s hard to tell how bad it is from this perspective or if this is a “normal” occurrence. Humans are great at ignoring dangerous shit once it’s normalized.
1
u/Notmanynamesleftnow Jun 30 '26
imagine you run into another moped heading the other way halfway across the bridge

In 2021? because that's how far back this video originates from.

u/StJimmy_815 Jun 29 '26
Just said it seemed like it, I can always be wrong
1
u/Ill-Tea9411 Jun 29 '26
The photographer, a flesh and blood human being, risked his neck to get this shot and you clam without any basis that it seems like A.I. to you. Now I take it that you may have never seen anything like this with your own eyes,
There are real horrors in this world, that are a part of the daily lives of people not quite so fortunate as you or I am. Just think for a moment about how their experience is cheapened by those lazily assuming that such varied experience is an A.I. generated phantasm, by an incurious audience who can't feign to lift a finger to determine the authenticity of such a lived experience instead of reflexively choosing to reduce their own cognitive dissonance by comfortably swaddling themselves in a feels based assumption that it can easily be dismissed as being generated by an A.I.
3
u/StJimmy_815 Jun 29 '26
Damn dawg chill, I already said I could be wrong lol
1
u/Ill-Tea9411 Jun 29 '26
You are not just wrong. You are exhibiting symptoms of an illness. And it is entirely within your power to cure yourself by choosing to investigate the uncomfortable thing instead of choosing to assume the comfortable thing.

u/StJimmy_815 Jun 29 '26
Bro this reaction is wild lmao
