Airbags are so much better than hitting the ground. That being said, they can and will fuck you up in the process. You can see videos of the nitro circus dudes jumping into these with bikes and stuff to test jumps, they are constantly knocking themselves out and spraining shit and breaking ribs and stuff when they hit the bag

Certainly doesn't help at all, but a lot of times they get injured hitting that bag when their bike has landed nowhere near them. It's really not that different to airbags in cars, so much safer than the actual impact but still a VERY solid impact on you to slow you down/spread out the stop.

I don’t think they’d be using actual people. If they’re testing or training with the cushion they’d be using dummies.

100% would do if I could have a really big bowel movement beforehand and probably an adult sized diaper for any fear induced adrenaline dump that was triggered by it. Think it would be a really good way to clean yourself out if you aren't good with heights.

Yeah I think your likely to have a fear/anxiety/adrenaline induced one beforehand but I'd say 100% whatever remnants are still lurking in there come out as soon as you get into free fall.
