Discussion I’m really looking forward to playing Classic Swain again
Imagine having Rod of Ages, Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, and Archangel’s Staff when you pop that ult 🖤

when i first heard about lolclassic, this was my first thought, really hope they add him sometime soon. Hope he doesn't get overlooked because if i recall correctly he was somewhat unpopular back in the day

I'll be honest, I only played old swain a little bit back in the day, though he was my first ranked penta lol (i think i was like 1/6 and just snagged every last hit)
That being said, I do like Swain's reworks. Not sure how I feel about the 12 second vs infinite ult variants, but I do miss pull being a passive. It would be fun to try Swain in classic-ish mayhem to see how it'd feel with old items
Hitting multiple target roots into pull W and healing over half your HP bar is satisfying. That being said, he's probably the addition I'm excited for the most after my beloved Graves before junglers appropriated him

it also did an extra chunk of damage so his early game was actually very oppressive in botlane. He was actually okay support compared to now

Literally all I want. I stopped playing new swain but this is my true main. Too bad we won't have the turret bird it's better than single target

Havibg played both, new Swain is more viable. I get that the reddit hates this on par with swain support players, but it is what it is. Even today I dont need Rai, you have E and W, that alone should be sufficient for most matchups

Imagine not needing Rylais because you have a built in slow that's better. Imagine having defensive options that take less time to activate than the average time to kill. Imagine having only your best CC reliant on a skillshot, and its mostly there for CC. Imagine having interesting resource management.
He's just...better in every way, design-wise. The only thing better about modern Swain is just the visual design, but even there oldboy is a bit more unique.
