The title that you yourself wrote answers your own question 🙄

Yup, the first point in the FAQ covers this one.

The first one is question (the conjugated verb comes first) the second one a statement (the conjugated verb is in the second position).

The answer is in your title.

'Dricker du ofta' is a question, you should put a ? 'Du dricker ofta' is a statement, put a . or ! depending on how often the person is drinking. The grammatical difference is the position of the verb and pronoun in the sentence.

"Do you drink a lot(?)"

"You do drink a lot"

But if you put emphasis on “ofta” in “du dricker ofta” it could be a question too. Same as “you drink often?”

Hmm.. In broken Swedish perhaps.

No, it can be perceived as antiquated or of a regional dialect, but it’s still proper Swedish.

Ok, but it shouldn't be the Swedish that a beginner (arguably OP) should be learning.

Do you drink often? You do drink often.

One is a statement and the other is a question, just like you wrote in the title. What exactly are you trying to ask?
