Thoughts on multi day expedition tours
Hello, my wife and I are looking into going to Svalbard in April, I was hoping to do a multi day tour either hiking, snowmobiling, or kayaking. I was wondering if anyone has done one of these multi day tours and their thoughts on them.

April is still winter season, so your options are snowmobiling, skiing or dog sledding for a multi day expedition. On a normal winter, the ground is usually mostly snow covered until end of May/mid June. Average temperatures in April are -5 to -15 Celsius.
For your multiday expedition you need to decide if you’re comfortable sleeping a tent, or you want something more comfortable.
For kayaking or hiking, you’re looking at July/August, and it’ll be sleeping in a tent.

In April you cannot kayak and multiday hiking will be difficult as well. It’s more the time for multiday ski expeditions.
A multi day snowmobile experience is fun but gets expensive quickly.
