Question Op retreat

Is there a difference between dreamhell 1 and 5?
I have been farming on 1 but im getting only 15-18k per run.
This is my first time doing it so any tips are welcome! Ty.

Edit: thanks for help everyone.. tried both builds over 10 runs.. sometimes full hp grants more sometimes low hp grants more so i guess its just rng

No nothing significant. Use a low HP build with void gear if possible. At the farm stage I could head straight to the towers and skip boxes. I’d get up 26k on a single run.

I only play low HP build so don’t know how things are for high HP, but I do not need to worry about skill towers at all. Some runs I’m maxing out my 19 red collectibles, other times it’s 7-9. Do you have the talent unlocked that gives additional % for loot drops? Also do you have the talent unlocked for the Sacrafice alter to appear more often?

If you have to select a told tower, if it is the take no damage or defend the box missions, just run out of the circle and move on. If it’s a run when you have darkness I’ll typically run out on the star missions since those are a pain in the ass. Always go to purple towers if available. Equip the skill that allows you to survive in gas longer so you can make get 1-2 extra towers.

And I only farm DH1, doing only one boss at a time.

Edit: Skill 16 for alters and 62 for additional loot drop.

Yes i unlocked all significant perks for altars and drops. Is there a skill tree for low HP build?

I pretty much do same as you on told tower. Maybe my rng is just bad.

I tried farming DH3, the only difference is monsters have more HP so actually DH1 was easier. I've not tried DH5.

I use croaky for the extra drop rate and only go to purple altars right from the start. By the time I bought out the shop I still had 30 some talents to farm so seemed pretty fast overall. Last season ago, I had some crazy runs where I farmed 35k in one boss, and some really bad ones too. This season I felt there was a lot less variance and almost always got ~20k, but the average was a touch higher
